In the past, Meek Mill would resort to diss tracks as the only way to communicate with Drake. However, things have changed, and now Mill simply dials Drake's number.

During an interview on SiriusXM's Hip Hop Nation on Friday, September 29, Mill, who is now 36, revealed that he and Drake, also 36, have been in frequent contact. This signifies a significant shift from their heated rap feud in the mid-2010s. Mill explained that he reached out to the rapper known as "Slime You Out" after hearing criticism about Drake's new single being labeled as "corny."

Mill explained that he reached out to Drake after hearing people criticize his song "Slime You Out." He assured Drake that if he genuinely believed the song was corny, he would have been honest about it. Mill acknowledged that the internet allows for brutal criticism, but emphasized the newfound space in their relationship where they can openly communicate. He mentioned that they can now even discuss personal matters, such as his interest in a particular woman, and Drake would respond in a similar manner.

"We have reached a level of honesty where we can openly address our issues and still have a sense of satisfaction," stated Mill. "This is something we haven't experienced prior to the conflict."

Throughout the 2010s, Drake found himself involved in numerous high-profile conflicts, including several clashes with Kanye West and a beef with Pusha T that exposed the existence of Drake's son. Consequently, it is easy to forget the commotion caused by Mill in the summer of 2015 when he took to Twitter to allege that "Drake does not write his own raps." Mill also insisted that Drake did not contribute to the verse in his song "R.I.C.O" on the album "Dreams Worth More Than Money," and stated that he would have omitted the track had he known the truth.

Shortly after Mill's remarks, Drake retaliated by releasing his diss track "Charged Up," which Mill dismissively referred to as "baby lotion soft." In a seeming act of provocation towards Drake, Mill unveiled the music video for "All Eyes on You," featuring his romantic partner at the time (who also happened to be Drake's close friend), Nicki Minaj.

Drake unveiled his second diss track, "Back to Back," a few days after the video release. In the lyrics, he taunted Mill for taking four days to respond and bragged about arriving in a luxurious Wraith car, playing AR-AB. Although unsure of the exact reason behind the animosity, Drake believed he had to provoke Mill to get him to rap. In retaliation, Mill released a diss track called "Wanna Know," but it was not well-received by hip-hop fans. Throughout 2015, Drake continuously mocked Mill, and the general consensus was that the feud ended with Drake as the victor.

In the ensuing years, both individuals exchanged subtle jabs, but in 2018, they finally resolved their differences. Drake went as far as inviting Mill on stage during a show in Boston, publicly ending their dispute.

Reflecting on the reunion, Drake expressed gratitude and a sense of relief, stating online, "This truly brought me peace of mind tonight. The act of healing and progressing forward resulted in one of the most thrilling and satisfying moments of my career." Furthermore, in the same year, Drake collaborated with Mill on the song "Going Bad" from his Championships album.
