Katy Perry is as interested as we are in Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce.
The 38-year-old Perry subtly joined the conversation about the famous couple after they were seen together in New York City on Saturday, October 14. Pictures of Swift, 33, and Kelce, 34, holding hands quickly spread all over social media, prompting Perry to share her opinion in the comments section of a Vogue Instagram post.
"I ship," she wrote on Sunday, October 15th.
Perry's response garnered over 14,000 "likes" on the platform, although Swift's fans will remember that the relationship between these pop stars hasn't always been harmonious.
Swift admitted to Rolling Stone in 2014 that her popular track "Bad Blood" was not a reflection of a romantic breakup, but rather stemmed from the actions of a fellow singer who allegedly made efforts to undermine an entire arena tour. Although Swift did not explicitly mention any names, her fans strongly believed that Katy Perry was the subject of her discontent. This notion was reinforced by the fact that several dancers employed for Swift's Red tour had previously participated in Perry's Prismatic tour, switching loyalties in 2013.

Perry apparently addressed the article by tweeting, "Beware of the deceitful Regina George."
As the controversy unfolded, Swift repeatedly stated in interviews in 2015 that she had no desire to talk about the situation and never directly mentioned Perry by name. She said to GQ, "I never made any remarks that would single out any individual, and I can rest easy knowing that."
Perry indirectly suggested on Twitter (now X) that she would be open to resolving her differences with Swift and possibly working together, but only if Swift apologizes.
Although she initially denied writing a diss track on her album "Witness" in 2017, many listeners speculated that "Swish, Swish" alluded to Perry's ongoing feud with Swift. Perry later urged Swift to bring an end to the conflict.

"She basically initiated it, and it's now her responsibility to bring it to a resolution," Perry asserted during her appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden in May 2017. "The issue revolves around her backup dancers. It's absolutely mind-boggling."
One month later, Perry declared her readiness to move on. "I forgive her, and I apologize for any wrongdoing on my part. I also hope for the same from her," she expressed during an interview on the "Thrive Global Podcast."
In 2019, the two of them finally put an end to their previous conflicts. Perry posted a picture on Instagram showing cookies that she had received from Swift, adorned with the words "Peace at Last" written in frosting. "It feels so good," Perry wrote. (The two later appeared together in Swift's music video for "You Need to Calm Down.")
Perry isn't the sole friend of Swift to endorse her association with Kelce, which soared to new levels this weekend following their unexpected appearances on Saturday Night Live.
"It's a relatively new relationship, but they genuinely have a strong liking for each other. ... They intend to create opportunities to spend time together in order to deepen their understanding," an exclusive source disclosed to us this month. The source further commented that their friends believe the couple is well-suited for each other.
