In the realm of Cyberpunk 2077, an intriguing secret ending exists within the main story, but it is the Phantom Liberty secret ending that truly astonishes. Rather than serving as a conventional ending, it takes the form of an amusing failure—an unexpected and entertaining addition to the game.

Situated in the midst of Cyberpunk 2077's main storyline, Phantom Liberty adds an intriguing layer to the narrative without bringing it to a close. What sets this DLC apart is the potential to unlock a fresh conclusion for the base game, influenced solely by the choices made here. Nevertheless, a single detrimental misstep in the initial mission can result in permanent exclusion from the entire DLC and the accompanying new storyline. In Phantom Liberty's introductory mission, players must make every effort to rescue the president from the forces of Dogtown. Most players are unlikely to stick with this ending since it doesn't make sense to purchase the DLC only to be locked out of it. Nevertheless, its inclusion serves as a charming Easter egg of sorts. Typically, players wouldn't expect to fail a mission like this as games usually result in a game over screen and loading the last checkpoint. Although Cyberpunk 2077 does this often, this addition gives players a sense of control over the Phantom Liberty storyline. Moreover, it effectively emphasizes the dangerous nature of this district, reminding players that they could lose everything if not careful.

This addition makes Phantom Liberty the latest addition to a long line of games that offer quick story completions. While players would prefer to actually play through the story, endings like these are always intriguing to witness.
