In the side quest "Message From An Ancient Era" from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players join Link on a challenging adventure to discover ancient stone tablets scattered across the sky islands of Hyrule. To aid a linguistically challenged archaeologist named Wortsworth, players must utilize their fusing, gliding, and navigation skills to locate and photograph the 12 tablets. Once translated by Wortsworth, the tablets reveal intriguing details about Hyrule's history and reward players with 100 rupees per photograph. Collecting all 12 tablets earns Link 1200 rupees and an exclusive paraglider fabric as an honor for his assistance in the Zonai Survey Team’s research.

Players can successfully complete the “Message From An Ancient Era” Side Adventure by locating the stone tablets and reaching the corresponding sky islands in Tears of the Kingdom. This guide provides all the necessary information to accomplish this task.

The player needs to have completed one of the four Regional Phenomena main quest series in Tears of the Kingdom to embark on this lengthy side adventure. These quests require Link to travel to Hebra, Eldin, Gerudo, and Lanayru to address the challenges that have plagued these regions since the Uprising. While completing any of these quests is acceptable, it is advisable to assist the Rito in Hebra to acquire the Vow of Tulin Sage ability, which makes it easier to reach the tablets on the sky islands quickly. Nevertheless, Tulin's assistance is not mandatory to access the islands.

Upon finishing a Regional Phenomena main quest, players are advised to make their way to Lookout Landing. Here, they'll observe some intriguing alterations that have taken place within the settlement. A noteworthy change is the appearance of a massive stone pillar that has plummeted to the ground and now lies in a small pond located in the southwest section of the town.
