The latest update patch for Cyberpunk 2077 has been released, focusing on addressing various issues related to the game's quests and open world. Although the game had a rocky launch in 2020, CD Projekt Red has been working diligently to fix bugs and glitches through downloadable updates. The most significant update was released last year when the game transitioned to the current generation of consoles. However, the development team still has some wrinkles to iron out. Recently, in April, another update was released, mainly focusing on enhancing the game's ray-tracing support on PC with the introduction of Overdrive Mode. This allowed players with high-end gaming machines to push the game to its limits and enjoy the visually stunning Night City with improved graphical fidelity. Now, two months later, CD Projekt Red is launching another update, aiming to introduce smaller quality-of-life improvements across all available platforms.
Patch 1.63 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released today, bringing numerous fixes for quest-related issues on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S systems. These fixes address various problems, including a phone call that would get stuck on the screen, V experiencing flatline during the "I Walk the Line" quest, and V's journal lacking objectives in the "Gimme Danger" subplot. Additionally, improvements have been made to the game's open world, such as fixing the issue where certain Gigs wouldn't start after V reaches their location and ensuring that the appropriate subtitles are displayed when players pass NPCs in Rancho Coronado.
The user interface of Cyberpunk 2077 has also received attention in Patch 1.63. For instance, the warning message "Enemy hack in progress" will no longer erroneously appear when transferring money, and items will no longer become unusable after opening the map. Furthermore, system-specific fixes have been implemented, such as resolving the game crash issue that occurred at launch for PC users using Razer Chroma peripherals and adjusting the number of available save slots on the Xbox Series X/S.
This may be the final update patch for Cyberpunk 2077 in the near future, as CDPR is currently directing its efforts towards the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC. While eagerly anticipating the launch of the new story campaign in September, fans can now download Patch 1.63 for Cyberpunk 2077, which introduces numerous fixes and enhancements across all major gaming platforms.
