Blade is a much-anticipated persona in Honkai: Star Rail that has already attracted a devoted following. As one of the esteemed Stelleron Hunters alongside Kafka and Silver Wolf, he exudes an intriguing aura of enigma. His captivating backstory unveils a captivating transformation into the enigmatic Blade, abandoning his physical form.

Blade Best Build In Honkai: Star Rail

From a gameplay perspective, he introduces a distinct approach through his kit, which primarily revolves around sacrificing his own HP to unleash more powerful attacks with his enhanced basic attacks. While the concept of sacrificing HP or scaling abilities with HP is not unheard of, it is the first time in Honkai: Star Rail that both aspects are seamlessly combined within a single character. That being said, the introduction of the newly added Planar Sets and Relic sets offers players seeking to optimize Blade's damage new opportunities to gather resources and experiment with different strategies.

Blade Best Relics In Honkai: Star Rail

Blade's DPS output differs from other DPS characters as it primarily scales with HP. To enhance his DPS potential, players should focus on obtaining the Longevous Disciple Relic Set. This set boosts Blade's HP with its 2-piece bonus and grants additional Crit Rate when he loses HP with its 4-piece bonus, which complements his abilities well. If players haven't obtained the complete Longevous Disciple set, they can consider utilizing only the 2-piece bonus and pairing it with the Eagle of Twilight Line set to increase Blade's Wind DMG by equipping pieces with optimal stats. Another option for a speed bonus is the Messenger Traversing Hackerspace relic set, which can be combined with Longevous Disciple.

For the Planar Ornaments, the ideal choice for Blade is the Rutilant Arena set, introduced in this version update. This set not only boosts his Crit Rate but also increases his Basic ATK DMG when his Crit Rate reaches 80%, which is excellent since his Basic ATK is his primary source of DPS. Players may also consider the Fleet of the Ageless set for additional HP. However, it is worth noting that this set benefits healers such as Bailu and Natasha more, as the conditional effect increases the ATK of all party members.

For the main stats, players have several good choices for each piece. Blade can gain a significant amount of Crit Rate from his traces and the Longevous Disciple set. However, if players haven't had luck with sub-stats or getting his signature weapon, they can still benefit from using a Crit Rate piece instead of Crit DMG for his Body piece. On the other hand, if players have achieved around 80% Crit Rate (including the 4-set bonus of Longevous Disciple), a Crit DMG piece will have much greater importance. For the other pieces, an HP main stat is also a valid option. However, instead of focusing too much on HP, players may also consider using Wind DMG or Speed pieces to avoid diminishing returns.

Regarding sub-stats, players should once again focus on HP, as well as Crit DMG and Crit Rate. Additionally, Speed and Effect Res are ideal for players who want to build a team that relies heavily on speed while also maintaining a defensive advantage. This will ensure that Blade is not affected by harmful status effects that can reduce his damage potential.

Blade Best Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail

Blade's signature light cone, available for a limited time alongside his banner, is the optimal choice as it is specifically designed for him and greatly boosts his damage. This light cone not only increases Blade's Crit Rate and HP, but also enhances his damage when his HP is depleted or when he is hit. However, for players seeking to save resources, there are other effective options available. One such option is the F2P light cone, On the Fall of an Aeon. This light cone primarily boosts ATK and also enhances Blade's damage after inflicting a weakness break. Moreover, being a 5-star light cone, it has higher HP stats compared to its 4-star counterparts. Similarly, Clara's signature light cone, Something Irreplaceable, can serve a similar purpose while also restoring Blade's HP for added defensive advantage. However, it is not recommended to solely acquire this light cone for Blade.

In terms of 4-star options, players can consider A Secret Vow or Nowhere to Run. Since Blade is capable of depleting his own HP, it is likely that he will often have less HP than the target, making A Secret Vow particularly valuable. This light cone significantly increases his damage output instead of just ATK. On the other hand, Nowhere to Run should be the last resort for players who do not have access to other options, as it primarily boosts ATK, although it can still be helpful in recovering some HP.

Blade Trace Priority In Honkai: Star Rail

For Blade in Honkai: Star Rail, the priority order for upgrading his abilities should be as follows:

1. Focus on improving his Basic ATK and Skill, as they are his main sources of DPS.

2. Consider upgrading his Ultimate, as it can deal significant damage.

3. If using a Preservation character in the team, prioritize upgrading Blade's Talent for better HP restoration.

4. In other cases, give priority to upgrading Blade's Ultimate over his Talent.
