Honkai: Star Rail's First Major Update Unveiled

HoYoverse has officially announced the date and time for the Honkai: Star Rail's first major update Special Program. The spinoff of Honkai Impact 3rd has been a massive success for the developer, Genshin Impact, since its release last month. The sci-fi RPG already boasts several worlds for players to explore and a cast of over 20 playable characters. Now, the developer is gearing up to introduce new features and characters in the upcoming update.

Following the success of Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd, the developer's first Special Program for Honkai: Star Rail aims to continue the trend. Each new update to Genshin Impact features its own live broadcast, where staff members and voice actors debut new content. Similarly, the developer introduced the game's launch characters and locales in a "Boarding Preparation" stream prior to Star Rail's release. With Version 1.1, players can expect even more exciting content to be added to the already popular RPG.

Honkai: Star Rail has just announced its Version 1.1 Special Program, which will be broadcasted later this week. The show is scheduled for Friday, May 26th at 7:30 AM Eastern Time, during HoYoverse's usual livestream timeslot. The post also unveiled the name of Star Rail's Version 1.1 update - "Galactic Roaming". Similar to Genshin Impact's Primogem rewards, the livestream is expected to include Stellar Jade codes scattered throughout the presentation.

While the official release of the upcoming update by HoYoverse is yet to happen, leaks have already given us a glimpse of what's to come in Version 1.1. One leaked post has disclosed the addition of a chat feature to Honkai: Star Rail with the new update, which is currently lacking an in-game messaging system. Moreover, leaked character lineups have hinted at the introduction of new characters such as Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong. These characters have played significant roles in the current storyline of Honkai: Star Rail and are expected to make their debut in the upcoming update.

The success of Honkai: Star Rail has been unprecedented, with over 10 million pre-registered users before its release, surpassing even Genshin Impact's record. The launch update has been equally impressive, with Seele's gacha banner matching the highest grossing banners of Genshin Impact.
