Meet Honkai: Star Rail's Newest Playable Character, Kafka!

Honkai: Star Rail is gearing up to introduce a new playable character, Kafka, during Version 1.2. In fact, HoYoverse recently announced the Version 1.1 Special Program broadcast and teased the arrival of one new cast member for Version 1.2. Kafka, a fan-favorite character from the game's opening story, is set to join the playable lineup.

Kafka played a significant role in Honkai: Star Rail's early story, making her a popular character among players eagerly anticipating her release. As the de facto leader of the Stellaron Hunters, Kafka follows the instructions of their true leader, Elio. Her actions in the prologue awaken the Trailblazer by imbuing them with the power of the Stellaron, and Kafka also serves as a primary antagonist for the Xianzhou Luofu story. Now, players will finally get the chance to add Kafka to their teams.

Honkai: Star Rail's latest character addition, Kafka, was officially revealed by HoYoverse on Tuesday night. Her splash art was shared on the game's official Twitter account along with a brief lore description. Similar to her Blade counterpart, Kafka's background remains mostly unknown except for her status as one of the most trusted members of the Stellaron Hunter's commander, Elio. As a Lightning element character in the Nihility Path, Kafka is expected to play a supportive debuffer role in her teams. Fans can anticipate her release in the upcoming Version 1.2, set to launch in mid-July.

Kafka's arrival in Honkai: Star Rail coincides with the introduction of another Stellaron Hunter companion, with one more slated for release in the preceding patch. Rumors suggest that Version 1.1 will feature the first playable member of the Stellaron Hunters, Silver Wolf, on the gacha banner. Additionally, fellow Stellaron Hunter Blade will become a playable character in the Version 1.2 update, joining Kafka. Notably, Kafka's splash art showcases the other members of the Stellaron Hunters, with both Silver Wolf and Blade visible under the umbrellas.

Rumors suggest that Honkai: Star Rail, the popular game from HoYoverse, will be getting a much-anticipated chat system added in its first post-launch update.
