Honkai: Star Rail Fans Disappointed by Lackluster Super League Event

Honkai: Star Rail's first-ever event, Boulder Town: Super League, has left players disappointed Despite being part of version 10 phase two and featuring the latest banner character Jing Yuan, the fight club-style event failed to impress many gamers who have taken to social media to express their disappointment

Honkai: Star Rail recently launched its first event, Boulder Town: Super League. However, the event hasn't quite impressed many of the players. The event takes on a fight club-like theme and was released as part of Honkai: Star Rail version 1.0 phase two. This update also includes the latest banner character, Jing Yuan.

Boulder Town is a renowned location in Belobog, which is the city that the Trailblazers visit in Jarilo-VI. It is a bustling town where miners and their families reside and work. One of the main attractions in the town is the Fight Club, where participants challenge robots of varying sizes. Honkai: Star Rail players can also complete side missions offered by some of the NPCs in the area, with one mission requiring players to beat some of the club's best fighters.

So, for Honkai: Star Rail's inaugural limited-time event, HoYoverse introduced the Boulder Town: Super League. Similar to a boxing match, it boasts weight classes that correspond to enemy difficulty levels, each with its own set of challenges and buffs to aid players. Every fight comprises four rounds, and players are incentivized to complete them as quickly as possible in order to earn more rewards, which include level-up materials and credits. However, some players have expressed dissatisfaction with the Super League rewards, deeming them "weak" in light of the amount of effort required to complete each weight class' challenges. Others have criticized the event for not offering enough Stellar Jades, which can be utilized for gacha pulls.

While some players agreed with these criticisms, they did acknowledge that the event appeared to be an enjoyable and effortless way to collect materials. On the other hand, some pointed out that this was a minor event and, as such, the number of Stellar Jade prizes was reasonable. It was also suggested that it might simply serve as a filler event before Honkai: Star Rail releases more significant content. As of writing, the game's main storyline remains unfinished, and those who have reached the end can complete adventure missions and Honkai: Star Rail daily quests to earn rewards and learn more about the lore.

The Honkai: Star Rail event is currently ongoing and will continue until June 6, which gives players ample time to complete it before version 1.1 is released. While the Star Rail team has demonstrated their responsiveness to player feedback by addressing Seele's ultimate animation, it's doubtful that they will modify the awards for Boulder Town: Super League to satisfy disappointed players. Fans of Star Rail can only wait patiently for the next update, which promises to bring more exciting events and content. Honkai Star Rail is available for iOS, Android, and PC, with a PlayStation version currently in the works.
