Qingque's kit in Honkai: Star Rail heavily relies on RNG, making her somewhat notorious among players. If luck isn't on their side, they may miss out on dealing significant damage. This risk usually isn't ideal for a damage-dealing unit. However, if the stars do align, Qingque can output massive bursts of damage that make her the go-to AOE character for taking down Quantum-weak enemies.

While having Qingque on the field may require sacrificing a bit of reliability, she is still a valuable addition to any team. She may not be as consistent as Seele or Jing Yuan, two of Honkai: Star Rail's other top-tier characters, but seeing this gacha gremlin deal just as much damage as them can bring a unique sense of satisfaction. To build a team around Qingque, follow this guide.

It is crucial to note that Qingque is a highly SP-dependent character in Honkai. Players often find themselves constantly using up Skill Points during her turn in order to achieve the perfect tile combination. To counteract this weakness, the following team compositions have been created with the intent of reducing the risk of insufficient damage output during combat encounters.

This team specializes in utilizing Qingque's Skill to the fullest, enabling players to continuously roll for that elusive four-piece match without sacrificing any DPS or running out of Skill Points. While it may prove effective in Memory of Chaos stages with enemies weak to Quantum, this composition will excel most in the Simulated Universe.

Qingque serves as the DPS while Arlan supports as the Sub-DPS and backup for lost damage. Qingque can repeatedly reroll her tiles until she can unleash an Empowered Basic Attack for maximum damage. In case of an imperfect hand, Arlan can deal significant single-target damage without consuming any Skill Points.

Natasha and March 7th are both Skill Point-positive characters that can support Qingque's gambling and protect Arlan from being knocked out. This team is highly effective in any situation that calls for Lightning and Quantum DMG, provided that sufficient investment has been made in both damage dealers.

This setup, called the Erudition Hypercarry Variation, is focused on dealing massive AOE damage. It utilizes two Erudition characters and benefits from blessings from the Path of the Elation. For optimal performance, it is recommended to have E4 Qingque in the team, as it allows her to perform follow-up attacks.

Jing Yuan and Qingque provide three separate sources of AOE damage, making them a formidable duo in combat. Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord attacks are particularly effective against Lightning-resistant enemies, making him a versatile pick in the Simulated Universe. It's important to be mindful of not overspending on Qingque's Skill, as Jing Yuan needs to power up the Lightning Lord.

When it comes to protection, AOE shielding from Gepard is the best option, especially when coupled with just a couple of Preservation blessings. While Fire Trailblazer is a decent alternative, it's not as effective in terms of defense.

Players have the option to choose between a Healer or Tingyun for their final slot. While the former is ideal for managing overall SP, the latter may lead to resource problems. However, obtaining the upgraded Twenty-First Military Rule Elation blessing can potentially eliminate any Skill Point issues, as it refunds SP after every follow-up attack.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on both PC and mobile devices, with a PlayStation version currently in development.
