A creative Genshin Impact player has come up with an adorable concept by combining the famous Pyro user Klee with Hook from Honkai: Star Rail. It's no secret that the game's enormous fan base is known for creating their own artworks by fusing different characters into one unique concept.
Interestingly, many characters from Genshin Impact's playable roster have had their designs based on other characters from the world of Honkai. Some of these characters include popular Archons like Venti or Raiden Shogun, as well as other playable units such as Yae Miko, Kamisato Ayato, Noelle, and many others.
A creative fan-art has been circulating on Reddit, courtesy of a user named CWHardKnight. The artwork features an interesting combination of two popular characters, Klee from Genshin Impact and Hook from Honkai: Star Rail. The fans seem to be loving the concept, as the entire thread has amassed over 2.8k upvotes on Genshin Impact's official subreddit. Klee and Hook share a similar model type and are both Pyro/Fire characters, who have been a part of their respective games since the beginning. Although Klee is a five-star character, Hook has a lower four-star rarity in Honkai: Star Rail. Recently, Hook was featured on a banner alongside two other four-stars, Natasha and Pela, and a five-star unit named Seele.
On the other hand, Klee has not appeared on a Limited Character Banner in over a year. In fact, HoYoverse's recent Special Program event confirmed that she won't be a part of the second banner cycle of the current Genshin Impact version 3.7. Despite being an S-tier DPS character in the past, many players nowadays avoid using Klee in the game's hardest domains, as there are much stronger characters available on the roster.
Recent leaks suggest that Klee is set to receive a new skin in the upcoming update 3.8, expected to arrive at the end of June. While the skin won't offer any in-game advantages, it's likely to increase Klee's popularity within the community. The skin is rumored to have a five-star rarity, indicating that it may come with a new set of animation effects.
However, Klee isn't the only character receiving a new outfit in the update. Leaks have also revealed that Kaeya, a four-star unit, could also be getting a skin. Players may be able to obtain Kaeya's new outfit by completing event-exclusive quests in Genshin Impact 3.8, possibly for free.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
