Princess Kate is not merely an onlooker when it comes to her enthusiasm for sports and games.

In a discussion on Mike Tindall's podcast "The Good, The Bad & The Rugby," Princess Anne's son-in-law playfully mocked Kate, who is 41 years old, for her competitive spirit.

"I won't go as far as calling you extremely competitive," remarked Mike Tindall, a member of the royal family, as he discreetly glanced at cohosts James Haskell and Alex Payne during the episode aired on Saturday, September 9.

"I'm not really one to strive for success," responded Kate nonchalantly.

Tindall, aged 44, stood by his statement. "I've personally witnessed her exceptional beer pong skills!" he admitted, eliciting laughter from the group.

During the Saturday episode of Tindall's podcast, Kate, Prince William, and Anne, aged 73, joined to converse about their passion for sports during the Rugby World Cup in France. The royal trio serves as patrons for three rugby organizations in the United Kingdom, while Tindall, a retired rugby player, is married to Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall.

Kate attributes her passion for competition to her upbringing, where she was involved in sports and led an active lifestyle with her family. She mentioned that her parents always motivated her and her siblings to engage in team sports and explore different activities. Kate pointed out that her family enjoys going on walks and swimming together. According to her, it is crucial for young individuals to have the opportunity to experience a range of activities.

While Kate insists she's "not particularly competitive," the Duchess of Cambridge confessed that she and William, 41, engage in intense hour-long table tennis matches that always seem to go unresolved.

"We've never succeeded in completing a game of tennis together," disclosed Kate. "It turns into a mental contest between us."

William observed that their matches typically boil down to "who can outwit the other mentally."

While Kate and William both enjoy competing, they make it a priority to teach their children, Prince George, age 10, Princess Charlotte, age 8, and Prince Louis, age 5, the importance of showing grace in both victory and defeat.

"We need to focus more on fostering camaraderie, building relationships, and teaching the valuable lesson of losing gracefully in today's society," William expressed. "Speaking specifically about our children, it is crucial that they comprehend this concept from a young age. Understanding the significance of losing, how and why it happens, and using it as a catalyst for personal growth is truly essential."

Kate revealed that her three young ones possess distinctly unique temperaments. While observing her children engage in various activities, Kate anticipates witnessing the evolution and maturation of their competitive spirit over time.
