The Mayor of Margate City, New Jersey is extending an apology and a complimentary meal to Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce following a recent encounter with an upset fan that gained widespread attention.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 29, Margate City Mayor Michael Collins expressed his regrets and formally apologized to the Kelce couple for the unpleasant incident they experienced over the holiday weekend. Mayor Collins, who understands the significance of spending quality time with loved ones, especially as a parent, is offering to treat the Kelces to a do-over date night with dinner on the house.
Collins made a statement following a clip from the “Word to the Wise” podcast showing Kylie and a local woman in a heated exchange. The woman requested a photo from Kylie and Jason, but they declined.
The video, posted on Instagram, showed Kylie and the woman confronting each other in a parking lot while a man tried to intervene. Jason stood a few steps behind Kylie during the interaction.
"You will never be allowed in this town," the woman said confidently. Kylie calmly responded, "You're embarrassing yourself."
Jason and Kylie, who got married in April 2018, have not addressed the situation publicly. However, the former Philadelphia Eagles player couldn't contain his excitement about his family's Memorial Day weekend.

Jason shared with his brother Travis Kelce on their "New Heights" podcast that they visited Sea Isle, where he has held fundraisers for the Eagles Autism Foundation in the past.
He mentioned that he, Kylie, and their three daughters - Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett - had a great time and enjoyed themselves.
Jason recounted his enjoyable day at the beach with the girls, indulging in beach food and having a great time by the shore. It felt good to be out there, especially since it was the first big weekend of the year, with all the businesses up and running smoothly.
Kylie also shared a glimpse of her Memorial Day Weekend bonding with her daughters on her Instagram Story. She posted a picture of an array of nail polishes on a bench, captioning it with "The girlies love options."
Editor's P/S:
The incident involving Jason and Kylie Kelce highlights the importance of respecting celebrities' personal space and boundaries. While fans may be enthusiastic about meeting their idols, it's essential to remember that celebrities are also entitled to privacy and the right to decline requests for photos or autographs. The woman's aggressive behavior towards Kylie was unacceptable and should not be tolerated.
Mayor Collins' apology and offer of a complimentary meal is a commendable gesture that acknowledges the Kelces' right to privacy. It sends a message that the community of Margate City does not condone such behavior and values the well-being of its visitors. Hopefully, this incident will serve as a reminder to fans that celebrities deserve the same respect and consideration as everyone else.
