Best Light Cone | |||
In Honkai: Star Rail, the Light Cone acts as the counterpart to the weapons in Genshin Impact. Every character in the game is categorized into a specific Path, which serves as a clue to their designated role.
Planetary Rendezvous
Rewritten Content:To enhance the role of Harmony characters like Yukong as buffers, it is important to select the appropriate Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail. In this turn-based game set in the HoYoverse, players have the option to choose Light Cones from various Paths, but it's important to note that the weapon's passive ability will not activate. Therefore, it is recommended for Yukong to utilize Harmony Light Cones in order to fully optimize the equipment's potential.
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
1058 | 423 | 330 |
Passive | ||
Upon battle entry, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, DMG dealt increases by 12%. |
Planetary Rendezvous is ideal for an Imaginary team with Yukong, Luocha, and Welt. The Light Cone ability can be effectively used in this setup.
However, this weapon is not compatible with any other Yukong team composition in Honkai: Star Rail. Therefore, it may not be a popular choice among players. Obtaining both Luocha and Welt is not easy, and Planetary Rendezvous can only be acquired through Warping.
Chorus
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
846 | 317 | 264 |
S5 Passive | ||
After entering battle, increases the ATK of all allies by 12%. Effects of the same type cannot stack. |
Obtaining Chorus is a breeze for new Trailblazers. This 3-star Honkai: Star Rail weapon provides a 12% increase in ATK right from the beginning of the battle. Similar to the Fleet of the Ageless Planar Ornament, this effect has no turn limit or condition, making it a convenient choice.
Of course, despite its decent passive ability, a 3-star Light Cone inherently possesses a lower base stat. As a result, players would naturally desire to upgrade to a superior alternative, such as the F2P Light Cone Past and Future.
Memories of the Past
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
952 | 423 | 396 |
Passive | ||
Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 28%. When the wearer attacks, additionally regenerates 4 Energy. This effect can only be triggered 1 time per turn. |
Yukong's Talent enhances her Basic Attacks, allowing her to inflict greater damage on the enemy's Toughness. As a result, she can deplete more than the standard 30 Toughness. Additionally, her Ultimate ability can reduce a single target's Toughness by 90, making it relatively effortless for her to break through their defenses.
Although an Imaginary break may not yield the highest damage output and lacks a DoT debuff, Imprisonment, on the other hand, possesses the advantage of introducing an action delay and a slowing effect. Consequently, if Yukong is the one responsible for breaking the enemy's Toughness, she can effectively immobilize them for a significant duration.
While not the best Light Cone for Yukong and is quite situational, it’s a viable option if players know what they’re doing and are building her on Break Effect.
Past and Future
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
952 | 423 | 396 |
S5 Passive | ||
When the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 32% increased DMG for 1 turn(s). |
In order to maximize the effectiveness of the Past and Future Light Cone, players should synchronize the speed of their damage dealer with Yukong. This will allow Trailblazers to ensure that the DPS benefits from both the Light Cone's buff and Yukong's Roaring Bowstrings buff.
The Past and Future is a free-to-play weapon that players can acquire from the Forgotten Hall shop. As a result, it is considered one of the top weapons for Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail, especially when fully upgraded.
Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
952 | 476 | 330 |
Passive | ||
One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action: Increase all allies' ATK by 10%, increase all allies' CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked. |
Obtaining Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds requires players to acquire it through the Battle Pass, rendering it an extraordinary weapon. The bestowed buff this weapon provides alters with each usage by Yukong, presenting a range of exceptional effects that avoid any wastage. Furthermore, its base ATK surpasses that of the majority of 4-star Harmony Light Cones, making it advantageous for Yukong's damage-dealing capabilities.
One bad thing about it is that players won’t be able to get it to maximum Superimposition unless they buy at least five Battle Pass, which will also take five versions.
But the Battle Isn't Over
HP | ATK | DEF |
---|---|---|
1283 | 529 | 463 |
Passive | ||
Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 10% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer's Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 30% more DMG for 1 turn(s). |
But the Battle Isn’t Over is a great choice for players who have mastered the art of properly SPD-ing their characters. It shares some similarities with Past and Future, but offers even higher DMG bonus, improved base stats, and an Energy Regeneration boost.
However, one aspect that players might struggle to fully capitalize on is its passive ability to restore one Skill Point when the Ultimate ability is used on an ally. Unfortunately, Yukong’s Ultimate ability enhances her own Roaring Bowstrings rather than benefiting her teammates, making it ineligible as an ally-targeted skill.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
