Kristen Doute is not bothered by what others think about her pregnancy journey.
During the recent premiere of The Valley, Jax Taylor shared his concerns about Kristen's decision to have a baby with her long-distance boyfriend, Luke Broderick. In an exclusive chat with We about her AirSculpt transformation, the 41-year-old Kristen mentioned that she did not feel a "protective brother feeling" from Jax's comments.
Brittany Cartwright shared with Us on Tuesday, April 9, that she felt Jax was deflecting from his own issues by not wanting to address the challenges in his life. She mentioned that Jax often gives advice on how others should live their lives. Therefore, she believes his comments were not about her fertility or decision to start a family with Luke, but rather a way for him to avoid facing his own problems.
Leading up to the premiere of the reality show in March, Brittany Cartwright disclosed that she and Jax were taking a break from their marriage and she had moved into a new residence. The upcoming season of The Valley will showcase the events before and after their separation, as filming resumed following the announcement of their breakup.
Jax expressed his concern about Kristen being okay with having a child out of wedlock during a conversation with Luke in the season premiere. Luke reassured him that they both share the same mindset about starting a family and that being a good parent is more important to him than getting married.
Kristen shared with Us that she and Luke have plans to get married in the future but are not in a hurry to do so. She mentioned that they are both content and happy with their relationship, and there is no rush to walk down the aisle.

Right now, their main focus is on trying to conceive a baby. Kristen shared that they were lucky to get pregnant last year, but unfortunately experienced a loss. After overcoming the emotional challenges, they are now back on track, hoping for the best. Kristen revealed in November 2023 that she had a miscarriage after finding out she had a “nonviable pregnancy.”
In addition to their journey to parenthood, Kristen and Luke are also navigating their long-distance relationship. She mentioned that Luke is mostly in California, only traveling to Colorado occasionally. If The Valley gets renewed for season 2, they are considering spending more time in Colorado before diving back into work.
Luke made his Bravo debut on The Valley earlier this year. Kristen shared with Us that filming the reality series did not have a significant impact on their relationship. She mentioned that while it didn't bring them closer, they always support each other. Kristen believes their bond is much deeper than what is seen on reality TV.
In preparation for The Valley premiere, Kristen decided to transform her body with the help of AirSculpt. She explained to Us that returning to TV and being in the public eye again made her want to feel more confident in her appearance. Kristen wanted to feel good about what she wore every day, especially for press events and red carpets. This led her to undergo the cosmetic procedure.
