Returning to Bravo in the network's highly awaited Vanderpump Rules spinoff series are Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright.

The trio's comeback to reality TV was revealed in June 2023, marking three years since Kristen's dismissal from the show and Jax and Brittany's announcement of their departure.

In June 2020, Kristen and Stassi Schroeder were both removed from the series due to previous racially insensitive actions towards former co-star Faith Stowers. Jax and Brittany later disclosed their own decision to leave the show. (While Kristen and Jax had been main cast members on Pump Rules since its initial airing in 2013, Brittany joined the series two years later after embarking on a relationship with Jax.)

In an interview with We, Brittany subtly suggested that she and Jax are considering a return to Bravo. Amidst the fallout of Scandoval, she expressed their desire to have the cameras and crew back, mentioning how enjoyable it was. Brittany exclusively shared with Us in June 2023 that they had made several public appearances to discuss their former costar, Tom Sandoval's cheating scandal, and had even recapped some episodes of Vanderpump Rules for Peacock.

What Is the Spinoff Series About?

Deadline reports that the plot of the show revolves around a circle of friends transitioning from their carefree youth to embracing the responsibilities of parenthood and adulthood in the vibrant setting of California's San Fernando Valley. The initial season has been commissioned for eight episodes.

In July 2023, Lala Kent confirmed that her former co-stars were currently filming. During an interview on Amazon Live, she expressed, "It's definitely happening, and I believe they're starting this week. It feels strange that they have their own show now, while we're not featured on it. Similarly, we haven't made an appearance on their show yet. Considering we are all best friends, it would be great if we could collaborate on a show together."

After providing a production update, Lala was seen alongside the trio at a lively party held in July 2023. Scheana Shay also graced the occasion, while cameras captured the vibrant celebrations.

In July 2023, Jax made a guest appearance on Kristen's podcast titled "Sex, Love, and What Else Matters." During the interview, he expressed his regret for his past behavior, particularly his inconsistent attendance and unreliability. He attributed these shortcomings to his busy schedule, acknowledging that it had affected his commitments. However, he hinted that there was something significant happening behind the scenes, teasing that the details would eventually be unveiled to the public.
