Shocking Revelations: Kristen Doute's Cunning Move to Oust Jax Taylor's 'Vanderpump Rules' Therapist

Kristen Doute and Jax Taylor dish out exclusive details on the controversial firing of Jax's therapist during his 'Vanderpump Rules' therapy sessions

Jax Taylor's therapy sessions have made a mark in Bravo history, but it seems there was additional drama happening off-camera. According to Kristen Doute's "Sex, Love, and What Else Matters" podcast episode on Thursday, July 27, the former Vanderpump Rules co-stars alleged that Jax's therapist from season 1 violated their privacy by disclosing information about their sessions without consent.

While I was in Australia, I received a call from Kristen and my ex-girlfriend Carmen Dickman. According to Jax, who is 44 years old, he was at a bar when he overheard the therapist discussing me. Jax emphasized that it is common knowledge in therapy that client information should not be disclosed, as it violates the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) law. Kristen, aged 40, proceeded to tell her version of the incident.

Standing dangerously close to us, she uttered the name "Jax," which caught Carmen's attention as well. When I turned to look, I immediately recognized her in her intoxicated state. Approaching us, her words became a blur in my memory, but she was indiscreetly revealing all the juicy details. She was completely wasted, divulging information typically reserved for their private sessions. Despite being aware, it was still incredibly inappropriate. I took action by notifying the production, ensuring that this would be reported to prevent any future occurrences and potentially resulting in her termination.

The experience proved to Jax that his original doubts about trying therapy weren’t unfounded.

I was strongly opposed to therapy back then, and I still have reservations about it. I have been let down and hurt so many times. However, after experiencing all the chaos and problems while being on the show, the production team approached me and asked if I needed to see a therapist. It's a common practice for TV shows to offer therapy if needed. I came up with the idea of filming the therapy sessions, despite knowing that it would involve legal procedures. It took some time, but I eventually allowed myself to be vulnerable and open up during the sessions. Throughout Jax's time on Vanderpump Rules, which lasted almost a decade, his highs and lows were captured and shared with the audience. However, Jax and his wife Brittany Cartwright have now announced their departure from the show.

In 2020, via Instagram, the couple expressed their gratitude for the challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling years they had spent on Vanderpump Rules. However, they announced that they would not be returning for another season. Instead, they would be focusing on their growing family and new endeavors. They expressed their appreciation for Bravo TV, Evolution USA, and their Vanderpump castmates, who would always hold a special place in their hearts. They also thanked their fans for their unwavering support throughout their journey, expressing their love for them.

Following the birth of their son Cruz in April 2021, Jax confessed that his interest in filming had decreased, ultimately leading to his departure.

He expressed how his mental health suffered greatly after being constantly targeted and portrayed as the villain on the show for eight years. Jax admitted that his thick skin could only withstand the criticism for so long, and eventually it took a toll on his well-being. He reached a breaking point where he started questioning his mental health, experiencing emotional breakdowns, crying, and making foolish mistakes. Despite willingly choosing to be part of this world, Jax felt overwhelmed and overwhelmed by the relentless scrutiny he faced. It was an extremely challenging and difficult situation for him.
