Shocking Revelations: Kristen Doute Exposes Mind-Blowing 'Pump Rules' Season 1 Secrets, Uncovering Jax and Stassi's Controversial Breakup

Kristen Doute recounted on her podcast "Sex, Love, and What Else Matters" that the turbulent relationship between Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder almost resulted in a continuity issue during season 1 of Vanderpump Rules. She revealed that there were certain scenes in that episode that were actually from the backdoor pilot, as Stassi and Jax had broken up the day before filming.

Jax, who used to be a reality star, claims that his tumultuous relationship with Stassi, now 44 and 35 respectively, was initially showcased in a backdoor pilot episode of Vanderpump Rules during the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This allowed the audience to discover their dynamic. Behind the scenes, Jax and Stassi had already ended their relationship. Consequently, Bravo reportedly utilized footage from the 2013 episode to reintroduce Jax and Stassi as a couple when Vanderpump Rules was greenlit as a series.

The breakup at The Grove that you witnessed was not just for show, it was a genuine breakup. However, their relationship was volatile, so on the very first day of production, Jax was surprised to hear that they had broken up. He still wanted to be with her, but Stassi was not interested. To create a storyline for the show, they used footage from months ago to introduce their relationship. Kristen also mentioned that viewers could easily notice that certain scenes were filmed months apart. For example, in the group scene during the first episode, you can see that Jax and Tom had long hair, which was not the case in earlier moments.

Jax and Stassi's tumultuous relationship was a prominent narrative in the first season of Vanderpump Rules. Eventually, they ended their romantic involvement, but after a long period of no communication, they reconciled and became close friends when Stassi rejoined the show in season 4.

Since then, Stassi, the author of Next Level Basic, has found love and married Beau Clark. They now have a 2-year-old daughter named Hartford and are currently expecting their second child. As for Jax, he tied the knot with Brittany Cartwright in June 2019, and two years later, they welcomed their son Cruz, expanding their family.

Following their absence from Stassi and Beau's wedding in May 2022, Jax and Brittany, both aged 34, confirmed individually that they were once again on rocky terms with the couple. Stassi was the first to allude to these issues shortly after her second wedding ceremony with Beau.

“In front of us, they assure us of their attendance, but behind our backs, Jax is secretly messaging Beau's best friend, denying their plans to come,” the former Bravo personality revealed on her podcast "The Good the Bad The Baby" in May 2022. “True friends do not behave in such a manner. They do not speak ill of your wedding behind your back, nor do they pretend they will attend while providing others a list of reasons for their absence. Friends do not subject each other to such actions.”

Brittany expounded on the miscommunication that caused a rift, addressing the undisclosed reasons for their inability to attend. She refuted allegations that they deliberately canceled at the eleventh hour, citing Cruz's delayed passport and her mother's family tragedy as obstacles. Speaking on the "Betches Moms" podcast in June 2022, Brittany emphasized her genuine efforts to be present until the very end.

Regarding her former costars, Stassi provided a rare update on her current stance. Expressing moments of nostalgia, she acknowledged the pain they caused her and the erosion of trust. Sharing her thoughts on "The Toast" podcast, Stassi affirmed that while she has moved on, she has no obligation to reestablish close friendships with those individuals.

She stated, "Despite giving them the chance to reconsider, they remained committed. However, just as I was about to board the plane, Brittany sent me a text message. This greatly intensified the pain I felt. It was a significant factor in causing even more hurt. I had to exclude family members and numerous other individuals whom I would have been thrilled to have with me. Consequently, they occupied two spots that could have been filled by others."
