Kristen Doute, 40, revealed on her and boyfriend Luke Broderick's podcast, "Sex, Love and What Else Matters," that she will not be attending BravoCon this year. She also hinted at a new television show that has yet to be announced, which will not be revealed at BravoCon.
"We currently have no intention of attending BravoCon." Kristen, who was one of the original cast members of Vanderpump Rules when it premiered in 2013, was terminated along with Stassi Schroeder in June 2020 due to their previous racially insensitive actions towards former castmate Faith Stowers. Kristen spoke out about the controversy a month later.
“I have realized that there is still so much for me to learn,” she expressed during a discussion on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast in July 2020. “I know this may sound like a cliché, as many individuals make similar statements, but it holds true for me. Previously, I believed I comprehended the concept of racism, but now I am acquiring knowledge about unconscious bias. I am educating myself on anti-racism, and also discovering ways in which we can actively bring about local changes. It is crucial to invest effort in our communities to truly initiate these transformations.”
Earlier this year, Kristen briefly appeared on season 10 of Vanderpump Rules to show her support for Ariana Madix following her breakup with Tom Sandoval. It was noted that Kristen had previously dated Sandoval from 2007 to 2013. In June, Deadline reported that Kristen, along with Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, had secured a deal for a new reality series.
The show, consisting of eight episodes, will center around a group of friends transitioning from their lively youth into parenthood and adulthood in California's San Fernando Valley. It is anticipated that Kristen's boyfriend Luke, whom she began dating in 2022, will also make an appearance.
Although many specifics about the show have been kept secret, Jax, 44, and Brittany, 34, who left Vanderpump Rules in December 2020, were observed filming with former co-stars Scheana Shay and Lala Kent earlier this summer.
"It's really happening, and I believe they will begin this week," Lala, 33, shared on Amazon Live in July. "It's strange that they have their own show without us, and we're not part of their show either. We're all best friends and we should be filming a show together."
Despite Kristen not being present at BravoCon, the current cast of Vanderpump Rules is expected to attend the Las Vegas event, which starts on Friday, November 3. Ariana, 38, Katie Maloney, Scheana, 37, Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Lala, James Kennedy, and Ally Lewber are scheduled for various panels throughout the weekend.
