Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick‘s plans to expand their family are moving full speed ahead.

In their recent podcast episode titled "Sex, Love and What Else Matters," Doute, aged 40, and Broderick, aged 32, candidly discussed an important milestone they have reached in their relationship. Doute, a reality star, shared that a few months back, she and Luke had a conversation acknowledging their strong commitment. As a result, she visited her OBGYN and received positive news regarding their plans for starting a family.

Doute, who revealed her relationship with Broderick in December of 2022, expressed apprehensions about having children.

"When we had the appointment with my doctor in August, he assured us that everything looked good. However, he advised us to wait a few months before actively trying to conceive due to my age," she explained. "I'm well aware that a pregnancy after the age of 35 is considered geriatric, and now that I'm 40, he suggested that we give it a genuine chance during our ovulation period, especially since I haven't frozen my eggs or pursued any fertility treatments."

Doute provided a detailed timeline that the couple received. According to her, if there are no developments within the next three to four months, which is shorter than the usual one-year timeframe given, they will have a conversation about it due to her age. However, for now, they are in a good place with no stress or worries.

In order to prepare her body for pregnancy, Doute has made a conscious effort to quit vaping. Moreover, she shared an interesting reason for not expecting to become a mother at the moment.

"My psychic predicted that I would have a son in my future, but not until I was between the ages of 41 and 42. This revelation prompted my partner and I to discuss our plans to start trying for a baby. I have chosen not to stress about getting pregnant in 2023 because I trust my psychic's prediction."

Doute and Broderick first met in June 2022, shortly after Doute had ended her relationship with Alex Menache. They became involved romantically after meeting at a friend's wedding, where they both had roles in the bridal party. However, at the time, Doute wasn't ready for a serious commitment.

"In December 2022, during an episode of their podcast, she revealed that right after we met at the wedding, or, like, hung out at the wedding, we had sex. I struggled with the idea of being your girlfriend again because I aspire to be a wife and a mother, and it just threw me for a loop."

Doute commented, "My biggest desire is to fulfill my role as a mother and a partner. I reached a point of exhaustion from the cycle of being in a short-lived romantic relationship for a few years."

Broderick had concerns about their age difference of eight years and the geographical distance between them, with him residing in Colorado and Doute in Los Angeles. Nonetheless, they continued to maintain contact and eventually agreed to give their relationship a genuine opportunity.

In Thursday's episode, Doute surprised Broderick by discussing her concerns about him potentially leaving her if they faced complications on their journey to becoming parents.

"I've always had the desire to be a mother," she confessed to him. "You've shown incredible patience in dating someone my age, especially considering the possibility that we might not receive the best news at the doctor's appointment. I couldn't help but wonder if you would stick around or leave if things didn't go as planned. It's a topic that's uncomfortable to discuss, but I had mentally prepared myself for it."

Broderick reassured Doute that he had only desired to become a father after meeting her. Additionally, he inquired about Doute's preferred way of being proposed to, further hinting at a potential engagement for the couple.
