BravoCon, which had its first convention in New York City in 2019, made a comeback after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The event took place in October 2022 at the Javits Center and offered three days of excitement. Fans were not disappointed as some of the network's biggest stars made shocking revelations.
Lisa Rinna, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, had a less than pleasant experience. When she walked on stage for the panel titled "Thrills in Beverly Hills: Presented by Tresemmé," attendees booed her. However, Rinna embraced the situation with enthusiasm. In an exclusive interview with We magazine after the panel, the 59-year-old soap star, who announced her departure from RHOBH after eight seasons on January 5, shared her thoughts on the experience. She expressed her love for being booed, considering it a fabulous moment. Rinna compared it to being a wrestler and stated that she had never been booed before, making it even more enjoyable for her.
Her BravoCon appearance came just days after the airing of part one of the season 12 reunion of RHOBH. Throughout the season, Rinna faced intense criticism for her ongoing feud with Kathy Hilton. She claimed that during an offscreen rant on the group's trip to Aspen, Colorado, the "friend" had insulted not only her sister Kyle Richards but also other cast members.
Rinna had not yet announced her departure from the series, but Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen confirmed at the event that discussions had taken place internally regarding the cast members returning for season 13. Season 12 newcomer Diana Jenkins later revealed her departure from the show on January 9.
"Cast shakeups are always on the horizon for every season, in every city", unveiled the 54-year-old host of Watch What Happens Live. "It's a topic we constantly discuss. It's the key factor that has kept this franchise thriving for 16 years. We strive to maintain innovation and take into account all possibilities."
The Real Housewives of New York City's season 14 cast was revealed at BravoCon 2022. The cast includes Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield, along with other thrilling announcements.
