Kristen Doute is now retracting some of her previous statements regarding Michelle Lally allegedly dating another man while she was married to Jesse Lally.
During the season 1 finale of The Valley, which aired on Tuesday, June 4, Kristen discussed past allegations about Michelle having a secret boyfriend. Kristen's boyfriend, Luke Broderick, pointed out that she had mentioned on screen that Michelle was in a long-term relationship while still being married to Jesse.
As we stepped into the elevator, he remembered you mentioning that Michelle had a boyfriend for a year. He admitted that he was not aware of this information. Kristen then clarified that it wasn't completely accurate. She explained, "If I did say that, I meant a year ago, which you already knew."
In a confessional, Kristen admitted that she used the wrong words in her past comments.
She explained, "I mentioned that Michelle had a boyfriend for a year. What I actually meant to say was that she had a boyfriend a year ago. My mistake!"
Kristen had regrets about sharing what Michelle allegedly told her off screen. She felt like a bad friend for speaking out in the heat of the moment. She explained that Jesse wasn't being a good husband at the time and wasn't putting in effort into their relationship. Kristen believed that Michelle shouldn't be blamed for texting someone else.

Earlier in the season, Kristen accused Michelle of being in contact with another man. Their costar Jax Taylor was also responsible for spreading rumors about Michelle having a close relationship with a director and sending “sexy pictures” to an unnamed person.
Michelle, on the other hand, has consistently denied Kristen's accusations on The Valley. After filming ended in fall 2023, Michelle decided to file for divorce from Jesse, and Bravo was there to document the aftermath.
As the season was ending, Michelle and Jesse had a final talk about their marriage.
"I'm not giving up. I'm trying my best. I have to be honest, I don't feel the same way about you anymore," Michelle said to Jesse, who was visibly upset. "I don't want things to be like this. I want to love you like I did before. But I'm not sure if I can. I'm sorry."
Jesse became emotional as he talked about his efforts to mend his relationship with Michelle.
"We seem to be on completely different pages. The goal was to spend the summer trying to find a compromise, but every time I make progress, she seems to regress even more. It's really disheartening."
In footage from six months later, the former couple Jesse and Michelle reunited after confirming their split in March. Michelle returned to their shared home with their 4-year-old daughter, Isabella.
Jesse expressed his feelings about the breakup, saying, “Michelle told me three days after we wrapped that our relationship is over. It made me feel like a fool. It made me feel like I was caught off guard.” Meanwhile, Michelle shared her perspective, stating, “I reached a point where I knew I wanted to move on, get divorced, and start fresh. I am certain that I made the right decision.”

Michelle and Jesse talked about their custody arrangement with their daughter, which is "two days on, two days off." They are also sharing responsibility for their dog, Malibu, as they work on dividing their assets and ending their partnership.
Michelle expressed the need to create a list for their tasks. She finds it easier to have things written down, as it can become complicated when not organized. Jesse agreed that having a written list will help clarify things and avoid confusion.
Jesse responded by saying that they both agreed on everything, mentioning, "We both know who our past and present clients, leads, and referral sources are. It's very clear."
He clarified that the only disagreement they had was about Isabella, and they had a mediator for their divorce. Jesse stated, "I won't sign anything until I have a lawyer and can go to court. I will handle it my way."
Michelle was feeling frustrated with Jesse's delay in finalizing their legal separation.
She expressed, "We really need to get divorced. You have to sign for us to proceed." Michelle emphasized that she just wanted the divorce to happen quickly without any further discussions. She mentioned, "I've already moved out, I'm paying half the rent here, and I've even paid for my new place."
While the couple was arguing, their daughter stepped in.
Michelle shared with the cameras, "Deciding to get a divorce is really tough. I know that one day I will have to explain to my daughter that I left her dad. I believe that leaving is what's best for her, but I always imagined her growing up with both parents together. The reality is far from the dream."
Michelle has found love with her boyfriend Aaron Nosler since parting ways. Meanwhile, Jesse has moved on with his girlfriend Lacy Nicole.
The Valley has been renewed for season 2, and you can catch all episodes on Peacock right now.
