Janet Caperna surprised fans of The Valley when she mentioned that Kristen Doute and Zack Wickham didn't seem interested in supporting her during her pregnancy.

During an episode of the "Gabbing With Gib" podcast on Tuesday, May 14, Janet, who is 34 years old, expressed her desire to be surrounded by people who are kind to each other. She explained that she felt disconnected from her costars because Kristen and Zack were not supportive during her pregnancy.

Janet, who has a 5-month-old son with her husband Jason Caperna, criticized Kristen, 41, and Zack, 35, for their behavior towards her during her pregnancy.

She shared, "I was just being true to myself. I didn't consider the audience or cameras. I wanted to be genuine and have supportive people around me who truly cared about my pregnancy, wanted to see it through, and witness me becoming a mother to a healthy child. It seems now that Kristen and Zach did not share the same intentions."

Janet and Kristen are currently feuding on the first season of Bravo’s The Valley. The conflict started when Kristen accused Janet of making negative comments about Michelle Lally, causing tension between the two. As a result, Janet decided not to invite Kristen to any of her events, a decision she maintained even after watching the episodes.

According to Janet, the audience doesn't like it when cast members refuse to film together. She clarified that her actions were not about intentionally excluding Kristen or trying to make her feel bad. Instead, Janet explained that she needed to prioritize her own well-being and boundaries in the situation.

Janet expressed her disappointment with Kristen's lack of support during her pregnancy. She wished that Kristen had been more understanding and checked in on her, instead of accusing her of using her pregnancy as an excuse to behave badly. Janet emphasized that pregnancy is challenging and she needed supportive friends by her side.

Earlier this year, Janet gave an update on her relationship with Kristen. She mentioned that they were very close for many years, but due to various events happening all at once, they felt the need to take a break. Janet shared exclusively with We in April that she never says never and still cares for Kristen, but they both agreed that a pause was needed for now.

Recently, the costars reunited, triggering Janet to briefly miss their bond. She found it funny that after their break, when they came together to celebrate the premiere, she realized she missed Kristen. However, after watching an episode, Janet quickly changed her mind and thought, "I do not miss Kristen" and questioned her actions.

The Valley airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Peacock the next day.

Paragraph 1:

Janet Caperna's revelation about Kristen Doute and Zack Wickham's lack of support during her pregnancy is both disheartening and relatable. Pregnancy can be an isolating experience, and it's essential to have friends and family who offer encouragement and genuine care. It's concerning that Kristen and Zack, who were once close to Janet, allegedly neglected to provide this support. Their actions could have had a significant impact on Janet's well-being during a vulnerable time.

Paragraph 2:

Janet's decision to prioritize her own boundaries and well-being is commendable. It's important to remember that relationships are two-way streets, and if someone is not fulfilling their end of the bargain, it's justified to reassess the relationship. Janet's desire for supportive people around her is understandable, and it's unfortunate that Kristen and Zack apparently did not meet this need. While it's possible that their relationship may improve in the future, Janet's decision to distance herself from them for now is a testament to the importance of self-care and setting healthy boundaries.
