During an interview for Bravo’s digital site, Janet Caperna asked producer Ashlei who “hid the most” or “tried to hide the most” while filming season 1 of the Vanderpump Rules spinoff. Ashlei revealed that there were cast members on The Valley who chose not to share certain aspects of their lives on screen. Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick were mentioned as the ones who showed less compared to their costars.

Last month, The Valley premiered, bringing together Kristen, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright from their time on Vanderpump Rules. The show follows a group of friends transitioning from their wild younger years to parenthood and adult life in California's San Fernando Valley.

Fans of Vanderpump Rules have been able to see familiar faces like Lala Kent and Scheana Shay on The Valley. Viewers have also witnessed the drama unfold between Kristen and some of her costars. The season started off with tension between Kristen and Jax, as he questioned her plans to have kids with Luke.

Jax expressed his concern about the well-being of his friend, saying, "I just want to make sure she’s going to be OK having a kid out of wedlock. There’s things that can happen." He shared his observations based on the experiences of Brittany’s friends who are raising kids on their own, juggling full-time jobs, health insurance, school, bills, and food expenses. It can be a lot to handle.

Kristen, on the other hand, was not pleased with the comments Jax made about her personal life.

Kristen shared in a confessional that just because she doesn't openly discuss the details of her relationship with her boyfriend, it doesn't mean they don't have important conversations. She questioned the purpose of being in a relationship that she thought would lead to marriage and children, only to end in a breakup after a "nonviable pregnancy" occurred.

To make matters worse, Jax added fuel to the fire by inviting Kristen's ex-boyfriend, Alex Menache, to a guys' night.

Jax expressed his strong desire for everyone to be part of the group, including Luke. He wanted to find a way for everyone to hang out together without any awkwardness or exclusions. He believed that Luke and Alex, who was about to join the group, would get along well because they were both reasonable and nice guys.

However, Luke was not open to the idea of becoming friends with Alex, who happened to be his girlfriend's ex. He questioned the purpose of trying to build a friendship with someone who had dated his girlfriend in the past. Luke made it clear that he had no intention of getting to know Alex and was fully committed to supporting his girlfriend without involving her ex in their social circle.

Kristen received some news while at a girls' night with the rest of the cast, causing chaos to erupt. In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, Kristen shocked everyone by accusing Janet of telling Jasmine Goode that Michelle Lally was supposedly racist and a Republican.

Both Janet and Jasmine refuted Kristen's account of what happened. Michelle, on the other hand, expressed disappointment, stating that Kristen was once a close friend and should have known better than to believe such rumors.

Michelle expressed her disappointment, "I'm really upset because Janet wouldn't say that or else she wouldn't be my friend. I'm the one who is first generation Mexican and Persian. I'm just so shocked and confused by the whole thing."

She continued, "Kristen's one of my closest friends. I know a lot of people who do not like Kristen and are not nice to her. I have been her friend and this is how she repays me?"

The Valley airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Peacock the next day.

Editor's P/S:

The recent spinoff, "The Valley," has brought to light the complexities of relationships and the challenges of transitioning into adulthood. While Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick have chosen to keep certain aspects of their lives private, Jax Taylor's concerns about Kristen's plans to have children have sparked tension. Kristen's decision not to openly discuss the details of her relationship has been met with criticism, raising questions about the nature of relationships and the importance of transparency.

Moreover, the introduction of Kristen's ex-boyfriend, Alex Menache, has further strained the dynamics within the group. Luke's refusal to befriend Alex highlights the challenges of navigating relationships with former partners. The accusation made by Kristen against Janet regarding Michelle Lally has also caused a rift, emphasizing the importance of trust and communication within friendships. As the season progresses, it will be intriguing to witness how these issues are addressed and whether the cast members can overcome their differences and find common ground.
