During the Golden Bachelor wedding special on January 4, ABC gifted the couple with a trip to Italy, their dream honeymoon destination.

Theresa, 70, shared an Instagram post about the vacation later in the same month, which marked the last update from the couple about their trip to Italy.

"We are excited to plan our honeymoon in May to Italy! We will start by flying into Rome, exploring Tuscany for a few days, and then making our way to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast," she shared in a post on January 28. "I have been to Italy twice before, once when I was 18, and again to visit my daughter when she studied abroad there. I am looking forward to creating new memories with Gerry!"

Gerry, who is 72 years old, popped the question to Theresa during the Golden Bachelor season finale in November 2023. The couple got married in a special live TV event earlier this year. However, after just three months of being married, they made the decision to get a divorce.

Gerry revealed during an appearance on Good Morning America on Friday, April 12, that after numerous heart-to-heart conversations with Theresa, they have collectively decided to end their marriage. As they delved into their living situation, they realized it was time to part ways. The most prominent aspect of their discussions was their shared dedication to their families.

Due to their strong connections to their respective families, Gerry expressed that it would be best for both of them to live separately in order to find happiness. Gerry has two daughters from his late wife, Toni, while Theresa has a son and daughter from her late husband, Billy.

Despite the breakup, there’s no love lost between Gerry and Theresa.

“I still love this person, there’s no doubt in my mind,” he said. “I root for her every day.”
