Unveiling Huohuo: A Fiery Addition to Honkai: Star Rail's Roster

Huohuo, a Wind character in the Abundance Path, is intended to fulfill a healing role within team compositions. In Star Rail's lineup, Huohuo will be the fifth Wind character and the third playable member of Xianzhou Luofu's Foxian race.

Honkai: Star Rail has officially introduced Huohuo, the Foxian Judge-in-training, as the first new five-star character joining the game in the Version 1.5 update. With the imminent release of the highly anticipated Version 1.4 update for HoYoverse's successful sci-fi RPG, players are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the next update's characters. HoYoverse has already confirmed the arrival of three new characters in Version 1.4, namely Jingliu, Topaz, and Guinaifen. As the Special Program for Version 1.4 approaches, the developer is now teasing the lineup for the 1.5 update.

Honkai: Star Rail's character roster has significantly expanded with each subsequent patch, introducing a diverse range of new characters. The game has already seen the addition of several members from the antagonistic Stellaron Hunters, including Silver Wolf, Blade, and Kafka. Furthermore, an alternate version of the original character Dan Heng, known as Imbibitor Lunae, has also joined the roster. In Version 1.5, Huohuo will be the first character to make their debut in the game.

Huohuo has been unveiled as the first member of Version 1.5's limited lineup for Honkai: Star Rail in a recent update on the game's social media accounts. This introduction provides players with a glimpse into the world of the small Foxian as Huohuo is depicted as a Judge-in-training with the Ten-Lords Commission of the Xianzhou Luofu. Responsible for capturing and eliminating dangerous spirits, Huohuo is set to make her debut alongside the launch of Version 1.5 on November 22nd. Notably, Huohuo will have two voice actors, one of which will lend their talents to the male voice of the trapped Heliobus spirit named "Tail" residing in her tail.

Although her true identity is only fully revealed in Honkai: Star Rail, the post about Huohuo gives subtle clues about her gameplay as the newest five-star character. From her teaser image, it can be inferred that Huohuo belongs to the Wind element and specializes in the healing-oriented Abundance Path. As the first Wind character in this path and the fifth overall in Star Rail, she is expected to fulfill the role of a healer in team compositions. In addition, Huohuo will become the third playable member of the Foxian race from the Xianzhou Luofu, following in the footsteps of Tingyun and Yukong.

In addition to the reveal of Huohuo, Honkai: Star Rail is set to introduce two more characters leading up to Version 1.4's Special Program. Prior to each game's Special Program, new characters are usually announced for the upcoming patch, which usually includes two five-star characters and one four-star unit. Leaks from the game have hinted at the arrival of five-star character Argenti and four-star unit Hanya in Version 1.5. With Huohuo joining the Star Rail roster, players will have another healer option for their teams. Honkai: Star Rail is currently available for PC and mobile devices, and a PS5 version will be released on October 11th.
