Highlights

Bungie reveals details on the exotic mission rotator in Season 22, which brings back lost missions and offers weekly rewards.

The diverse mission rotation features exciting missions such as Presage, Vox Obscura, and Operation: Seraph Shield. Each of these missions offers distinct craftable weapons and gear.

As part of the rotation, every mission will present a weekly challenge. Completing these challenges will reward pinnacle power levels and prioritize unlocking weapon patterns and armor pieces.

Bungie has recently shared new insights into the exotic mission rotator coming in season 22 in their latest weekly address. They have also revealed updates on changes to Destiny 2 exotic gear and weapons. In addition, game director Joe Blackburn has provided fans with a long term view of Bungie's plans and teased upcoming content, including changes to ritual activities and the Pathfinder system. The anticipated exotic mission rotator has also been highlighted in a recent blog post.

In the weekly Destiny 2 blog update, Bungie thoroughly explained how the exotic mission rotator for Season 22 functions. Due to missions being removed from the content vaulting process, the Exotic Rotator allows for their return by swapping them out on a weekly basis, similar to the current Raid and Dungeon rotator. Each mission offers a pool of legacy Seasonal rewards, with both Normal and Legendary versions available. Additionally, players can craft each exotic weapon once they have unlocked the pattern through subsequent playthroughs. At the start of Season 22, players can choose from these three missions, with Bungie promising the addition of more missions over time.
