Bungie recently shared some exciting news about Destiny 2's exotic scout rifle, Wicked Implement, in their weekly blog post. As a constantly evolving live service game, Destiny 2 regularly updates its content and makes adjustments to enhance player experience. In the midst of the Season of the Deep, Bungie has offered a sneak peek into the upcoming midseason patch, which has already brought a few changes to the game.

While Bungie is not ready to reveal all the details about the planned midseason update, set to launch on July 18, they did mention a couple of tweaks in their recent blog post. One notable update involves the Crucible, where they are working on improving the overall gameplay experience. This includes adjusting the respawn logic to ensure that players have a higher chance of spawning closer to the action in safe areas near their teammates, instead of being forced to spawn in designated respawn rooms. Bungie is also carefully considering competitive matchmaking and skill ranges to provide a more balanced gameplay experience. While specific enhancements to gear and exotic items remain undisclosed, Bungie did confirm that the new exotic scout rifle will be receiving a much-needed boost.

Destiny 2 players have recently embarked on the Deep Dive missions, uncovering hidden areas to acquire the game's latest exotic weapon. Known as the Wicked Implement scout rifle, this primary weapon harnesses the power of stasis to slow down enemies after landing consecutive precision hits. Initial feedback has largely been positive, although a few players have noticed some minor drawbacks. Bungie, however, has taken note of these concerns and is actively working on addressing them. Though specific details are scarce, it has been confirmed that the Wicked Implement will receive various improvements, including adjustments to the timing window for triggering its special perk, known as Creeping Attrition.

To enhance the player experience with Wicked Implement, Bungie has provided additional information on its catalyst. The ultimate objective of exotic weapon catalysts in Destiny 2 is to motivate players to obtain them and unlock the full potential of the weapon. With this catalyst, players can accumulate stasis shards to gradually increase the magazine size, eliminating the need for constant reloading, especially for Stasis subclasses.

Obtaining Wicked Implement has become more challenging for many players as time goes on. As the exotic quest coincides with the seasonal Deep Dive mission, matchmade players often have different intentions and objectives. This results in a lack of coordination among fire teams, with players at different stages or focusing on various hidden secrets within the mission.
