Angel's Gleam, one of Destiny 2's rarest shaders, can now be purchased in the Eververse store using Bright Dust. Shaders hold significant value in the game, both for making a player's character unique and for the fashion enthusiast community within Destiny 2.

Shaders have always been highly sought-after in Destiny 2. While some common shaders are readily available, others are notoriously difficult to obtain. For example, players can acquire the Shed Carapace shader by completing a flawless run of Crota's End raid, but this achievement is not for the faint-hearted, as flawless raid completions are challenging endeavors. Additionally, some shaders have been vaulted by Bungie as part of their controversial DCV, meaning only players who obtained them before their removal will have access. However, there is currently a rare shader available in the Eververse store for a limited time, giving players the opportunity to acquire it.

User Luke-HW revealed on the Destiny 2 subreddit that the Angel’s Gleam shader can now be purchased in the Eververse store for Bright Dust. Previously, this shader was only available through a $10 event card upgrade during last year’s Festival of the Lost, which received negative feedback from many players. However, Bungie seems to have changed their approach, as the fan response has been positive towards the option to buy the shader with Bright Dust instead of Silver.

Although this is a small step towards regaining the community's favor, Bungie has faced criticism for the increasing presence of microtransactions in the game. The community recently expressed concern when a prominent Destiny 2 content creator highlighted the game's growing monetization issues. Additionally, players have raised concerns about the Ritual Masks in Destiny 2's ongoing Festival of the Lost event, which are being sold for Silver and are only useful for a three-week period each year.

To address this issue, numerous fans have proposed that Bungie transform the Festival of the Lost masks in Destiny 2 into transmogs, rather than maintaining them as distinct armor pieces. This would allow players to utilize their preferred equipment and wear the masks purely for cosmetic purposes, given that their statistics are unremarkable.

Destiny 2 can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
