One player took this a step further and transformed their Hunter into Guts, the iconic Black Swordsman from the manga and anime series Berserk. Destiny 2 provides numerous options, such as armor ornaments, transmog, and shaders, to bring these unique concepts to life. While most players draw inspiration from the game itself, some venture outside the Destiny universe for ideas, just like this player did with Berserk.

Currently, Destiny 2's Season of the Deep has players diving beneath the waves of the newly resurfaced moon Titan. Their mission is to combat the forces of The Witness and protect a mysterious creature that may hold vital information about this enemy. Deputy Commander Sloane, who reappeared alongside Titan, entrusts guardians with this task. However, the Hive god Xivu Arath poses a formidable obstacle as she asserts her presence in the Sol System in a more forceful manner.

To tackle such a conflict, you need powerful warriors armed to the teeth. And among the manga and anime characters, none are more armed and dangerous than Berserk's Guts. One Reddit user, I_Balor_I, took inspiration from the Black Swordsman and transformed their Hunter into a demon-hunting mercenary in Destiny 2. Balor cleverly combined dark brown and gray shaders, Iron Banner and world armor, and Eververse ornaments to bring their interpretation of the Black Swordsman to life in the game.

What really impresses some players is the use of Izanagi's Burden with its Worldshaper ornament as a substitute for Guts' colossal sword, the Dragon Slayer. In the Berserk series, this sword can only be wielded by Guts due to his extensive training and mercenary experiences. While the Worldshaper may not match the Dragon Slayer's immense size of 40 inches and over 500 pounds in weight, it does better justice to the anime and manga than any of Destiny 2's actual swords.

Balor's creation received widespread praise on the DestinyFashion subreddit. Many users commended Balor for accurately portraying Guts prior to his transformation into the formidable Berserker. While some users recommended using a different headpiece to better depict Guts, one user specifically suggested using the Ketchkiller's Mask from Season of the Plunder as a more fitting representation of the character's face.
