Xur has made his return to Destiny 2 once again, bringing with him a fresh assortment of exotic and legendary gear for players to explore, but only for a limited time. Bungie has also unveiled new details about Season 23, although the storyline and theme remain undisclosed until its launch. However, Bungie has been transparent about the changes made to the game, particularly in the sandbox, including the removal of Legendary Shards. This alteration will undoubtedly impact the in-game economy, as these resources are frequently required for activities such as gear focusing or purchasing specific items from vendors.

Additionally, Bungie has announced an overhaul for Banshee-44, the Tower Gunsmith, in Season 23. Instead of featuring rotating new weapons for purchase, players will now have the opportunity to focus on acquiring specific weapons from different weapon foundries. Xur is offering the immensely popular fusion rifle, Telesto, this weekend. Known for its fascinating history, this weapon has undoubtedly wreaked havoc on certain aspects of the game, favoring players. From exploiting the Blind Well event to activating advantageous buffs, this rifle has even provided an abundance of special ammunition. Its numerous glitches have made it incredibly user-friendly, much to the chagrin of Bungie.

The weapon comes with the intrinsic perk Unplanned Reprieve, which allows fusion projectiles to attach and detonate with a delayed void blast. Additionally, it is complemented by the Harbinger's Pulse perk, which instantly reloads equipped primary and energy weapons after achieving multiple kills with the Telesto. This makes it an excellent choice for PvE activities, as its sticky explosives effectively cover a large area and swiftly eliminate additional enemies. Moreover, it proves to be a reliable option for PvP engagements, although its true potential is fully realized when the Masterwork catalyst is utilized to enhance the ammunition reserves.
