A bug has been found in Destiny 2 by players, enabling them to infiltrate the adversaries' camp in Gambit for a duration of almost three minutes. This glitch provided an unjust edge to those exploiting it and caused confusion among their opponents.
Despite the common occurrence of bugs and glitches in Destiny 2, Bungie may not immediately prioritize addressing this specific bug as it seems to be an isolated incident.
The recent disclosure from Bungie regarding the inclusion of new Light Supers and Foundry weapon crafting in future updates for Destiny 2 indicates their active involvement in developing fresh content for the game.
A player in Destiny 2 recently discovered a bizarre bug that enabled them to invade the enemy team's camp in Gambit mode for an extended period of almost three minutes. Typically, invasions in Gambit only last for about 30 seconds before the invader is returned to their base. However, this player had a completely different experience. Bugs and glitches have plagued Destiny 2 since its launch in 2017, with various instances such as Telesto causing issues and players being able to participate in 12-man raids. The most recent major bug allowed players to create a broken auto-rifle that functioned like a shotgun, dealing significant damage with multiple pellets. Lasting for an entire weekend, this glitch provided players with an unfair advantage in completing endgame activities. While the new Gambit bug may not be as severe as the weapon crafting glitch, Bungie should still consider investigating it.
A video was posted by user TAQ-2015 on the Destiny 2 subreddit showcasing a noteworthy occurrence in which they were able to invade in Gambit for nearly three minutes. Exploiting this opportunity, they successfully eliminated several members of the opposing team who were visibly disoriented and struggled to locate the invader, potentially due to the player glitching throughout the game. Interestingly, the invader's teammate also joined them during the invasion, and together they managed to defeat additional enemies. However, the invader's streak came to an end when a player from the enemy team finally pinpointed their location and eliminated them. Despite this compelling evidence, it appears to be an isolated incident, as there have been no other reports of players regularly experiencing this issue. Consequently, it is unlikely that Bungie will immediately address the problem, as they have previously stated their stance on Gambit in Destiny 2, despite repeated appeals from the community for an update.
In addition, Bungie has recently provided additional details about the three new Light Supers that will be introduced in Destiny 2 The Final Shape. Furthermore, they have confirmed that Foundry weapon crafting will be added in the upcoming Season 23, which will enable players to craft Suros, Hakke, Veist, and Omolon weapons. These weapons will no longer be obtainable through Legendary Engrams found in the world drop loot pool, and will only be available from Banshee.
Destiny 2 can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
