In Memoriam

Players who aspire to earn the coveted "Ghoul" title in Destiny 2 must complete the In Memoriam triumph, which serves as a comprehensive guide to the Memory collectibles scattered throughout Ghosts of the Deep. This triumph requires players to locate all 12 Memory fragments, and rewards them with a unique prize upon completion. Notably, the In Memoriam triumph also contributes to the 12 triumphs required for the "Ghoul" title, and offers players an increased chance of obtaining The Navigator, a powerful Exotic Trace Rifle that is exclusive to this dungeon and ranks among the best in Destiny 2.

Memory #1

Upon entering the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, players will have the opportunity to discover the first Memory. The initial steps involve traversing down a muddy path, while maintaining a vigilant eye on the right side of the path for a collection of broken trees situated near a rocky pit.

Players can utilize the cover of the nearby trees to stealthily infiltrate a section of the Archeology. By following the corridor illuminated by red lights, players will come across the first Memory located near a bench, which will be the only Memory obtainable during the initial stage of Break the Ritual.

Memory #2

Upon finishing the initial encounter in Ghosts of the Deep, players will find themselves on the brink of unlocking the second Memory. Those who band together to pursue this Memory should trace the path that emerges after the encounter, which leads them beneath the drilling platform and through the wire fence that has been sliced apart.

To access the 2nd Memory, players should take the left platform before proceeding through the circular corridor. Using their Guardian jumps, they can leap up the cubes jutting out from the wall and reach the upper room illuminated with red lights.

Memory #3

Players can locate the 3rd Memory by proceeding further into the drilling platform, just before the room where Acolytes and Knights appear. It's important for players to avoid venturing too far, as they may enter a large room that initiates the diving encounter.

Players can easily identify the correct area from below the large dropdown thanks to the pink lights illuminating the surroundings. Once in the right spot, players can utilize their jumping skills to reach the three tubes situated at the center of the room. Another jump will lead players to the left platform of the room where they can find and collect the third Memory.

Memory #4

Once players acquire Memory 3, they can exit the pink room and make their way to the Hive Acolytes and Knights that appear. Moving towards the center of the room and reaching the end, players will need to drop down the hole onto the broken platform and time their jump carefully to land on the rotating platforms.

Navigating the rotating platform in this time-gated area can be treacherous for players. A single misstep can send them plummeting down to the bottom, with no way back up. To safely collect the Memory located in the center pillar, players should position themselves at the front of the platform and patiently wait for the perfect opportunity.

Memory #5

Upon entering the dungeon's aquatic environment, players will immediately encounter the 5th Memory located in the first submerged room. It is crucial for players to collect the air bubbles in order to prevent the Pressure Resistance meter from depleting and ultimately causing them to lose progress in the dungeon. Remember to keep an eye out for

to aid in the journey.

Guardians can easily locate Memory 5 in the first underwater room by the half-open elevator door. Upon squeezing inside, they will find the 5th Memory sitting on the ground alongside 3 air bubbles. This marks the beginning of the journey towards the 6th Memory.

Memory #6

Exiting the chamber containing the 5th Memory, players will proceed towards the open window marked by numerous air bubbles. However, the journey is perilous as the Pressure Resistance constantly depletes, and therefore, it is advisable to follow the trail of air bubbles for a safer passage.

To reach Memory 6, players should drop down until they spot a platform with air bubbles. The first fan they encounter marks this section, but instead of heading towards it, they should go to the left, climb up the stairs, and continue left to find the Memory on a ledge. It's conveniently located next to an air bubble.

Memory #7

Upon entering the first fan, players will be greeted by a spacious room where they can catch their breath and take a break from worrying about Pressure Resistance. This area proves to be a valuable respite from the challenging task of collecting all Exotic fish or Memories, which can be daunting due to the time restrictions imposed on the content. Take advantage of this brief pause before continuing on through the elevator shaft and descending back into the water.

Players should disregard the initial room and the rotating platforms and aim to land at the bottom where the room with the cracked glass is located. Once there, players should exit the room and take a left turn, which will lead them around the outside area. They will eventually come across Memory 7 on a distant ledge, but by following the footing, players will be able to locate it.

Memory #8

As players progress further into this section, they will ascend a fan and arrive in a new room. This room contains a lengthy elevator shaft that will take them back underwater. Upon reaching the underwater area, players should aim to acquire the “Reach the Wreckage” checkpoint, signifying that they are now prepared to collect Memory 8.

After descending into the methane sea, players must make a sharp left turn and follow the luminous glow emanating from the coral and other aquatic creatures. This pathway leads to a dead end where the 8th Memory fragment awaits, bringing the journey to a near completion with only 4 more fragments left to uncover.

Memory #9

As players venture into the Reach the Wreckage part of Ghosts of the Deep, they will encounter the first wave of Hive enemies. Once this skirmish is over, players must continue forward to the water wall that leads to the underwater section of the level. From there, they will be able to catch a glimpse of the Lucent Hive ship in the distance.

Players can turn right and swim through the vibrant sea plants to discover Memory 9. They can also find air pockets to safely return to their starting point. Afterward, they can venture through the scattered wreckage to uncover Memory 10.

Memory #10

Navigating through the wreckage, players can finally breathe a sigh of relief as there are no more underwater obstacles to overcome. However, the Hive forces are still present and pose a threat to progress. Players must remain vigilant and eliminate any opposition encountered in order to proceed. Upon successfully evading or defeating the Hive, players will enter a lengthy corridor with numerous tunnels leading towards the next destination.

To access Memory 10 easily, players should take the second to last upper left tunnel in the area. This will lead them to a platform where they can jump onto the circular hole on the left. Then, they can jump into the circular hole spouting water to find Memory 10. Defeating the first boss in Ghosts of the Deep is necessary to reach the next one, but a cheese guide may come in handy for that.

Memory #11

Once Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun, has been vanquished, there is only one Memory left to obtain - the 11th Memory. Fortunately, it can be easily located after completing the second encounter by navigating through the underwater area until reaching a Hive room.

Players can easily locate the correct room by looking out for the Hive and Cursed Thrall that are present in this area. Upon reaching the spot, players should turn towards their left and search for a gated-off area. The Calcified Fragment can be found behind the bars of this area, containing the 11th Memory. Once obtained, players can proceed to the final encounter of Ghosts of the Deep to acquire the last Memory.

Memory #12

After defeating Simmumah Ur-Nokru, players can finally obtain Memory 12. However, this can only be achieved once. To make the most out of the final encounter, players are given 10 minutes to explore the boss area and the remains of Oryx, the Taken King. This timeframe is more than enough to solve the quick puzzle that leads to the 12th Memory.

To obtain the 12th and final Memory fragment, players should make their way to the Lightbearer Acolyte room on the upper left side of Oryx's corpse. Once there, they will need to solve the Deepsight puzzle, which is the same as the one encountered during the final battle. Upon lining up the circle to Oryx's symbol, players can proceed through the unlocked cave beyond the waterfall. At the end of the cave lies the coveted fragment.
