Honkai: Star Rail unveiled its latest addition, the five-star character Topaz, expanding its already diverse cast just like other games in the HoYoverse series. With their unique skills, these characters are bound to make a significant impact on the Honkai: Star Rail meta.
In the previous major update for Honkai: Star Rail, players were introduced to three new characters: the four-star Luka, as well as the five-star duo Kafka and Blade. Despite Version 1.2 being released less than a month ago, the game is already preparing for more exciting updates. HoYoverse will be hosting a special program dedicated to the upcoming major update for Honkai: Star Rail, which is rumored to bring a new area, events, and various other additions.
Honkai: Star Rail has recently introduced Topaz, a new five-star character who holds the position of Senior Manager in the Strategic Investment Department at the Interastral Peace Corporation. Topaz, the leader of the Special Debts Picket Team, is a Fire character from The Hunt Path. Her role primarily involves managing the organization's finances and traveling through space to collect outstanding debts that have a detrimental impact on IPC's business ventures. To assist her in these tasks, Topaz is accompanied by her trusted companion, Numby, a Warp Trotter with the unique ability to locate valuable resources. Numby is also skilled in security operations, debt collection, and actuarial science. Although Topaz and Numby were leaked last month, it is worth noting that the official name of Topaz's companion differed from the initial leak.
The announcement of Topaz's introduction was met with great enthusiasm by players, especially since it coincided with the unveiling of another highly anticipated character, Jingliu. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Slam Slade, renowned for her voice acting in games like Brawl Stars, Punishing: Gray Raven, and Epic Seven, as well as for portraying the NPC Jiangli in Genshin Impact, will be lending her voice to Topaz. Despite being a newly playable character, some players have made an intriguing observation regarding Topaz. It appears that Topaz already exists in Honkai: Star Rail as a character featured in the four-star light cone Trend of the Universal Market.
Like Jingliu, Topaz does not have a confirmed release date in Honkai: Star Rail. However, rumors suggest that both characters will be released in conjunction with Version 1.4 of the game. There is also speculation that Version 1.4 will introduce a trio of characters, including the four-star Xueyi. Players had previously encountered Xueyi during the Xianzhou Luofu events in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2, which showcased the four-star characters Dan Heng, Luocha, and Sushang.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently available for Android, iOS, and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version set to launch in Q4 2023.
