Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's children are maturing right in front of us, leaving the actors pleasantly surprised.
On Sunday, October 1, Spelling, 50, took to Instagram to share the news, writing, "Little Monkey and Buggy can't take your call...they've become young adults! My two eldest children, Liam and Stella, attended their homecoming last night. And now, I just had to capture a moment with my babies."
Liam, aged 16, and Stella, aged 15, flanked their mother in the backyard before leaving for the school dance. Liam, a junior in high school, sported a black-and-white button-down with coordinating jeans and combat boots. Meanwhile, Stella, a sophomore, looked enchanting in a teal dress with flowing sleeves. Standing between her two children, Spelling couldn't help but smile.
In an Instagram post, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared her thoughts, stating, "In my eyes, they will always be my 2- and 3-year-old selves, with me holding their hands. Now, both towering over me. Time flies!" She went on to express her pride in her children, remarking, "I can confidently say that these two lead with kindness, empathy, and confidence. They are wise, aware, and truly amazing individuals. I am so proud to be their mother."
I have complete trust in these two individuals because they are incredibly well-behaved youngsters who fully understand the task at hand! They are brimming with affection and radiating with pride as their mother aids the fledglings in their journey of flight. There is absolutely no question that these two will effortlessly soar to great heights! And, what's even more exciting is that they truly deserve every bit of it!
Spelling, who is the mother of Stella and Liam and also shares her other children Hattie, Finn, and Beau with McDermott, has always been open about her children's journey in overcoming bullying.
"It's not an easy situation," she said exclusively to We in February 2019. "I have been dealing with it for a long time, but when people make hurtful comments about your children, it's hard to comprehend. Everyone talks about being against bullying nowadays, but it seems like when it comes to celebrities, that doesn't apply. People feel free to say whatever they want about celebrities and their children, even though that wouldn't be tolerated in any other profession."
Stella, in particular, had to face mean girls at her school. "You have always shown kindness and empathy as your guiding principles. Despite experiencing bullying in various aspects of your life, you continue to radiate hope and optimism and serve as an inspiration to girls everywhere," Spelling wrote in a heartfelt message to her daughter on Instagram in June. "You have a huge heart and are excellent at everything you do. ... You motivate me every day, and I hope to become the kind of person you are when I grow up! I love you, my beloved friend forever, #bffbaby."
