Bungie recently provided insights into the future of Destiny 2 and addressed community questions in their latest weekly address. As a constantly evolving live service game, Destiny 2 is known for its seasonal updates that bring new content and storylines. These updates also often include major changes to the core aspects of the game. Season of the Deep, which launched in May, was no exception. It introduced a significant update that rebalanced exotics, weapons, and subclasses, added new features such as a way to focus exotic engrams, and included 3 new Strand Aspects. Despite these changes, Bungie is already hard at work on what's next and has taken the time to address community concerns. In Season 22, the Broodweaver Warlock will receive some much-needed buffs.
The Week In Destiny blog, formerly known as something else, recently tackled a series of questions that are frequently asked by the community. The questions covered a range of topics, such as upcoming weapon buffs, ability tuning, and more. One particular question was directed towards the Strand Warlock, which highlighted the fact that Broodweavers were initially introduced as minion masters. However, players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Threadling minions, as they appear to be ineffective in higher difficulties and end-game content.
Bungie has taken note of player feedback and has outlined a two-phased approach to address concerns in Season 22. One of the phases involves increasing the damage that Threadlings do to PvE targets, while also reducing the duration and uptime of suspend sources. Additionally, The Wanderer, the newest Destiny 2 Strand aspect, will be adjusted based on community feedback. However, Bungie has not provided specific details on these changes. The focus on weapons was also highlighted during the question and answer session, with kinetic weapons and Glaives receiving attention. Bungie aims to make Glaives more satisfying to use, particularly in PvP, and is updating class-specific exotic Glaives introduced in the Witch Queen expansion to improve how players can activate the Exotic perk.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
