Guinaifen, a support character introduced in the Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 update, is a 4-star character who specializes in applying the Burn debuff to enhance the team's damage-over-time (DoT) potential. She functions similarly to Hook and excels in increasing the team's DoT damage, especially when paired with Nihility characters like Kafka and Sampo. These light cones differ from those of Nihility characters like Welt, Pela, or Silver Wolf, which specialize in weakening the various stats of the enemies. Interestingly, while Guinaifen has only appeared in one artwork for a light cone called "Subscribe for More!", this particular light cone does not benefit her as she follows a hunt path. Instead, in Honkai: Star Rail, the following light cone options are considered the best for Guinaifen.

Consequently, "Eyes of The Prey" emerges as an ideal light cone choice for Guinaifen. Not only does it enhance her ability to inflict Burn, it also amplifies the DoT damage without any specific conditions. Given these benefits, "Eyes of The Prey" stands as an excellent option for Guinaifen, particularly when stacked with high superimpositions.

Guinaifen can greatly benefit from the light cone option "Good Night and Sleep Well," especially when paired with characters like Kafka or Sampo, who can inflict additional Damage over Time (DoT) effects besides Burn. By stacking different DoT or debuff effects on enemies, this light cone empowers Guinaifen to unleash even more damage.

It presents a comprehensive approach to improving Guinaifen's performance and demonstrates the full potential of her abilities, especially when utilized in team compositions alongside other Nihility characters. Importantly, even in the absence of other Nihility characters, it remains exceptionally robust. With Guinaifen's initial eidolon, she can apply an Effect RES debuff, effectively increasing the number of stacks for this light cone. "Solitary Healing" is a top-tier 5-star light cone option for Guinaifen. It is completely free and can be obtained and maximized through Herta Bonds in the Simulated Universe Store. This light cone provides numerous advantages for Guinaifen, particularly an increased Break Effect.

Two of its conditions greatly contribute to boosting Guinaifen's damage potential. She needs to use her Burst to further enhance the damage caused by Damage over Time (DoT). Additionally, when an enemy with Guinaifen's DoT effect is defeated (not necessarily by Guinaifen herself), she gains energy regeneration, enabling her to consistently apply the damage increase. To ensure that all enemies are affected by DoT as much as possible, it is advisable to frequently switch targets, considering that Guinaifen inflicts burn on adjacent enemies.
