Team Composition | |||
Imbibitor Lunae is highly anticipated by players who are eagerly waiting to add him to their team compositions. As a new version of the 4-star Wind Hunt character, Dan Heng, Imbibitor Lunae brings a unique playstyle to the table, unlike his free-to-play counterpart. He belongs to the Destruction and Imaginary character category, allowing fans of Honkai: Star Rail to explore new character combinations and unleash the full potential of Imbibitor Lunae.
Since Imbibitor Lunae's effectiveness is closely tied to ATK scaling, players will find Harmony characters highly valuable as partners. This is in contrast to the previously released Destruction character Blade, who relies on HP scaling and cannot benefit as much from ATK buffs. Moreover, Imbibitor Lunae can synergize well with numerous Nihility, Preservation, and Abundance characters, just like most other DPS characters. However, it is crucial to note that allocating up to three skill points to enhance his Basic Attacks greatly benefits Imbibitor Lunae's playstyle. As a result, players may want to consider pairing him with other characters in Honkai: Star Rail, who do not depend as much on skill points for optimal performance.
5 Imbibitor Lunae + Asta + Yukong + Natasha
For players who want a fully F2P team composition to support Imbibitor Lunae, this lineup is worth considering. With this setup, both Asta and Yukong can be used to boost the team's ATK values. Additionally, Asta brings a speed boost and the ability to exploit Fire weaknesses in enemies. On the other hand, Yukong provides valuable Crit Rate and Crit Damage buffs to teammates, significantly increasing Imbibitor Lunae's damage output. This boost is particularly useful for activating additional effects from planar ornaments like "Rutilant Arena," which requires a 70% Crit Rate to increase Basic Attack DMG for the wearer.
4 Imbibitor Lunae + Tingyun + Pela + Lynx
:Natasha fulfills the crucial role of being the team's healer and possesses the valuable ability to remove debuffs from her allies. Nevertheless, if players have alternative healer options such as Luocha or Lynx, it may be more advantageous to consider them for the team's overall composition.
For players who don't have access to many 5-star characters, a team composition consisting of only 4-star characters, along with Imbibitor Lunae, can be a great option. In this setup, Tingyun takes on the role of supporting Imbibitor Lunae by providing an ATK buff and additional energy for his Ultimate. This is particularly crucial as Imbibitor Lunae would lack these benefits without using his signature light cone ability. Pela, on the other hand, plays a vital role as the team's main debuffer, effectively reducing the opponent's DEF values.
3 Imbibitor Lunae + Bronya + Pela + Fu Xuan
For players eagerly anticipating the arrival of new characters in the next patch, reserving the healer spot for Lynx may be a wise choice. Lynx not only has the ability to dispel debuffs from all allies but also synergizes well with Destruction and Preservation characters. As a result, players who plan to equip Imbibitor Lunae with a light cone that benefits from his increasing attack should seriously consider Lynx as a formidable option. This team composition is also versatile for a wide range of content, as each character belongs to a different element, allowing for the exploitation of weaknesses in nearly every enemy.
Bronya, a character known for her reliance on skill points, can still reap advantages by teaming up with Imbibitor Lunae, especially for those who possess her unique light cone, "But The Battle Isn't Over." This combination works well because both Pela and Fu Xuan do not heavily depend on skill points, enabling Bronya to make full use of her remarkable buffs.
2 Imbibitor Lunae + Welt + Tingyun + Luocha
Similar to the previous team configuration, this lineup offers great flexibility for tackling various types of content, thanks to its combination of characters from different elemental backgrounds. Furthermore, Fu Xuan brings along the ability to mitigate damage and provide some level of healing, despite not belonging to the Abundance category. This team setup becomes particularly enticing for players who are keen on obtaining both characters featured in the 1.3 version update.
For those looking for a team that emphasizes imagination, one potential choice is to utilize Welt and Luocha in conjunction with Tingyun. However, if desired, Tingyun can be substituted with Yukong, although Tingyun is more cost-effective in terms of skill points and synergizes nicely with Imbibitor Lunae.
By utilizing Welt's high Imprisonment chance, players can greatly benefit from equipping Imbibitor Lunae with the 4-piece set "Wastelander of Banditry Desert," as Welt improves the reliability of debuffs and imprisonment.
For the healer role in this team, Luocha emerges as the ideal choice. He offers valuable support by providing healing without the need for skill points, debuffing enemies, buffing the team, and dealing Imaginary damage, making him a versatile and valuable addition to the lineup.
1 Imbibitor Lunae + Silver Wolf + Yukong + Luocha
Another outstanding team composition focused on Imaginary abilities includes Silver Wolf and three additional Imaginary characters. Silver Wolf's unique ability to exploit weaknesses in enemies makes this team highly adaptable and suitable for a wide range of challenges. Additionally, Silver Wolf contributes to defense reduction similar to Pela, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the team. As a result, players can confidently employ this team even when facing opponents without an initial weakness to Imaginary attacks. However, it is important to note that Silver Wolf may also exploit Quantum weaknesses, which may require multiple uses of her skill unless the enemy is already vulnerable to Quantum attacks.
In situations where players do not have access to Silver Wolf or encounter opponents with existing weaknesses to Imaginary attacks, substituting her with Pela or Welt can serve as viable alternatives to maintain an effective team composition.
