He belongs to the Destruction and Imaginary character category, allowing fans of Honkai: Star Rail to explore new character combinations and unleash the full potential of Imbibitor Lunae.

Since Imbibitor Lunae's effectiveness is closely tied to ATK scaling, players will find Harmony characters highly valuable as partners. This is in contrast to the previously released Destruction character Blade, who relies on HP scaling and cannot benefit as much from ATK buffs. Moreover, Imbibitor Lunae can synergize well with numerous Nihility, Preservation, and Abundance characters, just like most other DPS characters. However, it is crucial to note that allocating up to three skill points to enhance his Basic Attacks greatly benefits Imbibitor Lunae's playstyle. This combination works well because both Pela and Fu Xuan do not heavily depend on skill points, enabling Bronya to make full use of her remarkable buffs.

2 Imbibitor Lunae + Welt + Tingyun + Luocha

Similar to the previous team configuration, this lineup offers great flexibility for tackling various types of content, thanks to its combination of characters from different elemental backgrounds. Furthermore, Fu Xuan brings along the ability to mitigate damage and provide some level of healing, despite not belonging to the Abundance category. This team setup becomes particularly enticing for players who are keen on obtaining both characters featured in the 1.3 version update.

For those looking for a team that emphasizes imagination, one potential choice is to utilize Welt and Luocha in conjunction with Tingyun. However, if desired, Tingyun can be substituted with Yukong, although Tingyun is more cost-effective in terms of skill points and synergizes nicely with Imbibitor Lunae.

By utilizing Welt's high Imprisonment chance, players can greatly benefit from equipping Imbibitor Lunae with the 4-piece set "Wastelander of Banditry Desert," as Welt improves the reliability of debuffs and imprisonment.

For the healer role in this team, Luocha emerges as the ideal choice. He offers valuable support by providing healing without the need for skill points, debuffing enemies, buffing the team, and dealing Imaginary damage, making him a versatile and valuable addition to the lineup.

1 Imbibitor Lunae + Silver Wolf + Yukong + Luocha

In situations where players do not have access to Silver Wolf or encounter opponents with existing weaknesses to Imaginary attacks, substituting her with Pela or Welt can serve as viable alternatives to maintain an effective team composition.
