Highlights
Certain weapon types will receive a buff in Destiny 2, making it important for players to collect these guns before the next season.
Players should prioritize collecting specific Exotics before the season ends as certain Exotic weapons will temporarily become unavailable. Ex Diris, Izanagi's Burden, Vex Mythoclast, Wicked Implement, and Winterbite are formidable weapons that players should strive to obtain in order to gain an edge in Destiny 2.
Players should take advantage of the upcoming buffs to certain weapon types in Destiny 2 by obtaining these guns beforehand. This will provide them with an advantage when Destiny 2's next Seasonal Artifact resets the temporary Power Levels. Additionally, it is important for players to prioritize collecting specific Exotic weapons as some of them will become temporarily unavailable in the near future. While collecting exotic weapons is always beneficial in Destiny 2, it is advisable for players to prioritize obtaining certain Exotics before the conclusion of the Season of the Witch.
Powerful Exotic Weapons to Use in Destiny 2’s Season 23
Ex Diris is a powerful weapon commonly owned by most active players in Destiny 2. However, those who have been away for a while should seize the opportunity to acquire this weapon before Season of the Witch concludes. Known as the weapon of choice for Destiny 2's Hive "boomer" Knight enemies, Ex Diris is notorious for its immense impact. Although it may be challenging to hit targets at longer distances, its unlimited ammunition and exceptional damage upon direct hits make it a formidable weapon capable of delivering remarkably high DPS.
Ex Diris can be obtained through the Season of the Witch Season Pass
Izanagi's Burden
In Season 23, Snipers in Destiny 2 will experience a decrease in body-shot damage but will see a boost in critical hit damage. This change may make snipers more challenging to use in player versus player (PvP) matches, but it is expected to solidify the role of sniper rifles in the game's current meta. Izanagi's Burden, already known as one of the best snipers and overall Exotic weapons for dealing damage in Raids, is anticipated to receive an excessive benefit from the upcoming buff to critical hit damage. Additionally, the Exotic perk of Izanagi's Burden, which allows players to consume extra ammo to enhance the power of their next shot, should still make it a viable option in Destiny 2's PvP activities even after the nerf to body-shot damage. Players can acquire Izanagi's Burden by purchasing it from the Monument of Lost Light.
The Vex Mythoclast, an Exotic weapon, will receive a damage boost specifically against Champions soon. However, even without this upcoming buff, the Vex Mythoclast is already an exceptional weapon. It has the ability to unleash rapid fusion rifle shots at a considerable distance, and it offers an alternate firing mode as a linear fusion rifle. With its two versatile firing modes, the Vex Mythoclast proves to be highly effective in eliminating ads in any PvE content. Notably, the alternate firing mode is particularly devastating against opponents in PvP.
Vex Mythoclast can be obtained by completing the Vault of Glass Raid
Wicked Implement
Players will still have the opportunity to participate in Destiny 2's fishing activity in Season 23. However, it is possible that this activity will no longer be available once The Final Shape expansion is released. Therefore, it would be wise to acquire the Exotic weapon now, as the current Season is coming to a close and the story has concluded. It is preferable to obtain the weapon now rather than waiting until the next season, when the community will be focused on preparing for the Final Shape Expansion.
To obtain the Wicked Implement, players must successfully complete the Whetstone Quest.
Winterbite is one of the most popular glaives in Destiny 2's PvP activities for good reason. It offers a significant damage buff and remains a powerful weapon even without upcoming enhancements. Not only can players continue to use it when they run out of special ammo, but its ability to block incoming damage and shoot ranged projectiles makes it incredibly difficult to counter in close-range fights. Any glaive is a viable option, but Winterbite stands out as a top choice.
Winterbite can be obtained by completing the Strider Quest
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
