The Season of the Deep in Destiny 2 has already made a big impact in its first week, thanks to a multitude of positive changes, new items, and the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon. One of the most exciting elements is the chance for players to revisit the Hive and Taken-infested moon of Titan, exploring the depths of its methane ocean. The season incorporates strong themes of the perils of the sea, with a range of powerful Exotics, including one that can significantly impact the endgame. As with previous seasons, there are new weapons and armor pieces for players to collect, and the Exotic farming system has been revamped to make it easier for players to get what they want. Warlocks are particularly well catered to this time around.
Destiny 2's Cenotaph Mask Exotic Could Make Endgame Content a Breeze
The Cenotaph Mask Season 21 Exotic for Warlocks offers a unique perk that emphasizes teamwork and trace rifles. It allows players to mark a boss, vehicle, Champion, or named yellow-bar enemy as a priority target when hit with a trace rifle. This target can then be defeated by an ally through a finisher, which results in a brick of Heavy ammo for the ally and one of Special ammo for the Warlock using Cenotaph Mask. This perk enhances the game's ammo economy during group activities and can potentially eliminate the need to worry about running out of ammo during encounters.
Players will be motivated to have a Cenotaph Mask user on their team for hard content. But this Exotic becomes even more powerful when paired with the Aeon Soul Exotic gauntlets, which are available to every class. By utilizing the Sect of Insight perk, Destiny 2 players can initiate a finisher on an Elite enemy, boss, miniboss, or Champion to generate Special or Heavy ammo for the entire fireteam, depending on the enemy type. This ability synergizes with the Cenotaph Mask, allowing a single finisher to generate up to three ammo bricks. All it takes is a Warlock equipped with the Cenotaph Mask Exotic to shoot a trace rifle at an enemy. The priority target mark also lasts for 10 seconds, making it simple to refresh if required and for allies to use a finisher within this window. Consequently, activities like Destiny 2's GM Nightfall Strikes can be easily circumvented by simply dumping ammo on bosses and hard-hitting targets, thereby reducing the difficulty level with just a few clicks.
