Sophie Turner is cautiously reentering the dating world after her separation from estranged spouse Joe Jonas, opting to take things at a leisurely pace.
According to an exclusive source, "Sophie is receptive to the notion of dating once more. At the moment, she isn't entirely devoted to anyone, but she is actively exploring possibilities and remaining open-minded."
Turner, aged 27, tied the knot with Jonas, aged 34, back in 2019. They were blessed with two daughters, Willa (3 years old) and Delphine (14 months old). In September, it was confirmed by Us that the Jonas Brothers singer had filed for divorce, marking the end of their four-year marriage.
In the weeks that followed, Turner has been spending time with her friend Taylor Swift, who had previously dated Jonas when they were teenagers. The two have been seen together in NYC, and Turner even accompanied Swift, aged 33, to a Kansas City Chiefs game on October 1 at the MetLife Stadium (home of the New York Jets). An insider shared with Us that Turner was excited to support the Chiefs, and also to potentially meet new people, including Swift's rumored new love interest, Travis Kelce.
"She accompanied Taylor to the Chiefs game because she recently became single, and Travis happens to have numerous single friends who are NFL players," reveals a source.
Although it remains uncertain whether Turner ignited a romantic relationship with a professional football player, she has been seen in the company of aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. Photographs taken on Wednesday, November 1, depict Turner and Pearson, 29, engaging in a kiss on the streets of Paris.
According to the first source, Turner and Pearson are not in a serious relationship. The actress, who is recently single, is casually dating multiple people and keeping her options open at the moment. The source also mentions that although Turner has shown interest in a few men, she is not rushing into anything or looking to settle down.
Turner and Jonas' divorce became contentious when she filed a lawsuit against Jonas seeking custody of their two children. She accused him of preventing her from bringing their children back to her home country, England. According to legal documents, their marriage abruptly fell apart after a heated argument on August 15. (Notably, Turner was seen attending Jonas' opening show of The Tour in New York City a few days prior.) Last month, Jonas and Turner agreed on a temporary custody arrangement, with plans to alternate their children's residency every two weeks.
Jonas and Turner revealed in a joint statement in October that they have reached a positive resolution during mediation. They have agreed that their children will have equal time in both their loving homes in the U.S. and the UK. They expressed excitement about being great coparents. Another source later shared with Us that Turner and Jonas intend to evaluate how this arrangement progresses before finalizing their coparenting plans.
Turner dating is of little concern to Jonas, as a third insider reveals to Us. The insider also mentions that finding love is currently not a priority for him.
"He is channeling his energy towards his music and family. Joe is doing exceptionally well and he thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Halloween with his daughters," the insider further explains. "With a busy schedule between his career and taking care of his girls, he simply doesn't have the time to pursue dating."
