Inside Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's Temporary New York Custody Agreement Amid Divorce

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have reached a temporary court agreement, keeping their kids in New York during their ongoing divorce proceedings, as per filed documents

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are currently keeping their two young children in New York as per a temporary court agreement filed on Monday, according to official documents. The celebrity couple is going through a divorce after being married for four years.

Turner took legal action against Jonas last week in the hopes of bringing their children back to London. However, a recent consent order obtained by CNN and filed in New York reveals that the "Game Of Thrones" actress and the Jonas Brothers singer have come to a temporary agreement. According to the order, their daughters, who were born in 2020 and 2022, will remain in the United States. The document states, "The parties have agreed to the entry of the attached proposed Interim Consent Order, without prejudice to either party's claims and defenses, prohibiting the removal of the parties' children from the jurisdictions of the United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York pending further order of this Court."

Turner mentioned in her recent petition the ongoing efforts of the now-separated couple to establish a permanent residence in England. Prior to the dissolution of their marriage, both parties had reached a mutual agreement to settle down in the UK. The petition further states that their children are actively engaged in various aspects of daily life and the local culture in England. Additionally, the couple had been in discussion for purchasing a new home, with negotiations underway, and were planning to finalize the transaction this December.

"According to Joe's representative, he desires shared parenting for the children, ensuring they are raised by both their mother and father, and he is also supportive of the children being raised in both the U.S. and the UK. The children, who were born in the U.S. and have predominantly lived there, hold American citizenship. Joe and his spouse got married in 2019, but Joe recently initiated divorce proceedings in Florida."

"We have collectively agreed to respectfully bring our wonderful four-year marriage to a peaceful conclusion," they stated jointly in their announcement of their decision to part ways. "Although there are numerous speculative explanations circulating, we want to emphasize that this is a choice made together, and we genuinely request that our longing for privacy for both ourselves and our children be honored."
