Rexha has shared her encounter with overly enthusiastic fans in the past, although she has never received physical harm from them. In an interview with British GQ in June 2018, she recounted a particular incident where a fan managed to locate her hotel and room without her disclosing any information. The fan had called Rexha, requesting a signed T-shirt, and despite her offer to send it to her, the fan unexpectedly revealed her presence in the hotel lobby and expressed her intention to go up to Rexha's room. Feeling alarmed, Rexha arranged for someone to hand the T-shirt to the fan in the lobby.
