Sanya Richards-Ross announced her second pregnancy in a recent trailer for the latter half of season 15 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. The trailer, released on July 15, shows Sanya, aged 38, giving her husband Aaron Ross a pregnancy test. After examining the test, he excitedly exclaims, "I can't believe it!"
As Sanya nods, he incredulously asks, "Is this for real?" Excitement fills the air as she enthusiastically jumps up and down. "I'm pregnant!" Sanya joyfully announces, proceeding to embrace everyone in the room while they offer heartfelt congratulatory wishes. Adding to their family, Sanya and Aaron, both 40, who married in 2010, already have a son named Aaron Jermaine, born in August 2017. In an exclusive conversation with We magazine in April, Sanya hinted about their intentions to further expand their family.
"There have been many exciting developments with our second baby," the Olympian told Us exclusively. "This season, there are a lot of relatable moments for women and families as Ross and I continue to have conversations and explore the future of our family."
Sanya revealed that they had their "whole family" living with them, which temporarily put a pause on discussions about a second child. However, she explained that their family will be moving out soon, and they are now open to the idea of having another baby.

"Considering the ideal timing for baby number two and the constant need to make the best decisions, these are the thoughts that occupy my mind," she expressed. "This season, a significant aspect for me is the prospect of welcoming baby number two while also having my extended family live with me." Prior to sharing her joyful updates, Sanya candidly discussed the challenges she has faced in juggling her marital and maternal responsibilities.
“During the early years of our marriage, Ross and I encountered challenges with parenthood," she reminisced to The Bump in February. "I breastfed my son for nearly two and a half years. A nurse, whose advice I now regret not following, suggested that I pump. She explained, 'You need to share this responsibility. If you rely solely on breastfeeding, it will become overwhelming.' I can still recall moments when I would ask my husband to stay awake with me, even if he wasn't feeding the baby. I simply needed his companionship. However, he questioned why both of us should be tired, leading to a significant strain in our relationship."
