NeNe Leakes Makes Emotional Announcement About Remarrying After Tragic Loss of Husband Gregg Leakes

NeNe Leakes, former star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, is experiencing deep emotions as she reflects on her future without her late husband, Gregg Leakes, who passed away two years ago. During a recent episode of her YouTube series Pillow Talk with Nene, NeNe expressed her thoughts on potentially marrying again to have a life partner who can offer support and care during times of illness.

With tears in her eyes, NeNe sobbed as she recounted the painful moment when she was requested to provide an emergency contact to a doctor. The overwhelming realization that losing Gregg had left a colossal emptiness in her life washed over her as she filled out the form.

“It hit me unexpectedly since I was staring at the paper, pondering who I would choose as my emergency contact,” NeNe clarified.

NeNe and Gregg initially tied the knot in 1997, but went their separate ways in 2010. Their divorce was officially concluded in September 2011, however, they eventually reconciled.

In January 2013, the couple got engaged once again. Bravo documented their journey of wedding preparation and the actual ceremony in Atlanta on June 22, 2013 for a spinoff called I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.

On September 1, Gregg's death was observed, marking the two-year anniversary since he passed away after a cancer struggle.

NeNe Leakes disclosed in June 2018 that Gregg had been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, but shared in May 2019 that he had been declared cancer-free. However, in June 2021, she revealed that the cancer had returned and he was undergoing surgery in the hospital. Tragically, Gregg Leakes passed away from colon cancer on September 1, 2021, at the age of 66.

Leakes announced in December 2021 that she was in a relationship with fashion designer Nyonisela Sioh. However, in July, she revealed that they had decided to end their relationship.

During an interview on the "Reality with the King" podcast, Leakes expressed that they were currently taking a break. She explained that there were certain issues that both she and Sioh were unhappy with, resulting in their relationship no longer functioning effectively.

Now, the former Bravo personality no longer wants to be alone.

“I was thinking about having a partner for life, even though I know the person wasn’t right for me,” she continued.

According to NeNe, women who are mature like her comprehend her perspective on marriage, which doesn't necessarily involve true love.

"In my opinion, there are numerous women who might think, 'I understand that this man isn't the perfect match, but we have a good enough relationship, we're friends or have enough affection for each other to consider getting married,''' she further expressed.

However, as NeNe thought about marrying without love, she realized she doesn’t want that type of relationship.

“I know this is not who I am as a person,” she commented.

NeNe desires a future with a genuine and deeply loving partner. She expresses her reluctance to engage with a man solely for emergency purposes or as a mere arrangement, emphasizing her personal aversion towards such relationships.
