Robyn Dixon from ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Opens Up About Departure After 8 Seasons

Robyn Dixon, a star on The Real Housewives of Potomac, announced on her "Reasonably Shady" podcast that she will not be returning for season 9. Unfortunately, it was not her choice to leave the Bravo show. Instead, Dixon, 45, shared that the network did not invite her back and she was essentially fired.

Dixon explained that her departure was due to a network decision and she was not going to sugar-coat the situation. As she spoke with fellow RHOP star Gizelle Bryant, she became emotional.

During their conversation, Dixon expressed her hope of inspiring viewers and fans to live authentically without feeling pressured to change for others or society. She reflected on the past eight years, describing the journey as fun, amazing, stressful, crazy, and wild. Dixon emphasized that she couldn't have imagined going through it with anyone else.

"I had a great experience during my time on the show," she shared on Monday's podcast. She expressed her gratitude to Bravo, Truly Original, the production company, and the executives for the opportunity they gave her back in 2015.

Dixon expressed gratitude for those who believed in him and invited him to join their network, show, or platform to share his story, family, challenges, and successes.

The news of Dixon leaving the series was initially revealed by The Jasmine Brand, with sources from the network mentioning a cast shake-up to breathe new life into the show.

Upon learning that Dixon might be leaving, RHOP fan Christina Applegate immediately expressed her shock and demanded answers regarding her departure.

The actress took to X on Tuesday, April 9, tagging Bravo boss Andy Cohen in a separate message, and exclaimed, "What in the actual f—k? Why is [Robyn] Dixon not coming back to Real Housewives of Potomac??????? Noooooo!!!!!"

Aside from Dixon, Candiace Dillard Bassett has also announced her departure from the series.

On March 25, she told People how grateful she is for the friendships, personal growth, and moments of self-reflection that have shaped her journey. With new opportunities and responsibilities coming her way, she has chosen to take a break from RHOP.
