The highly anticipated Season 8 of 'Real Housewives of Potomac' promises a thrilling rollercoaster ride with voodoo, demons, divorces, and explosive feuds Brace yourself for the drama and excitement as the Housewives navigate their way through another unforgettable season

The Real Housewives of Potomac are ready for an eighth season featuring voodoo, demons, divorces and more.

"We are a collective of Black women, each navigating our own unique experiences in life, and we wholeheartedly embrace that," Ashley Darby expresses in the recently released trailer for season 8 on September 28th. "Let's continue to foster a wonderfully eccentric atmosphere in Potomac, alright?"

In another exciting glimpse, the cast members of season 8, including Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, as well as newcomers Nneka Ihim and Keima Stewart, along with the addition of close associate Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, embark on a journey to create a nostalgic ‘90s sitcom named Potomac Proper.

With the arrival of newbies, there is an increase in drama. Nnek, a prosperous lawyer and a first-generation Nigerian-American from a well-to-do family, engages in a heated argument with Wendy, 39, as Nneka alleges that Wendy's mother used "voodoo" against her.

“My mom worships our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Wendy retorts, to which Nneka responds, “At day. By night, she’s submitting names to shrines.”

After a fire breaks out soon after, Candiace, aged 58, jokes, "Looks like the demons have arrived to get us." Aside from Wendy and Nneka's conflicts, there is also tension between Karen and Mia, as hinted in the trailer. Mia refers to Karen, a 60-year-old from Spring Grove, Virginia, as "an old dog who needs to learn new tricks." In response, Karen fires back, stating, "You are the trick."

Based on the trailer, it seems that Season 8 will be a challenging one for Mia. She reveals that she had previously sought the assistance of a divorce lawyer during a difficult period in her marriage to Gordon Thornton. The couple's tensions escalate as they attempt to resolve their problems through therapy, having lost their CEO positions in The Joint Chiropractic nationwide network of chiropractors due to alleged betrayal by her brothers-in-law, which resulted in their company bank account being suspended. Mia also appears to suggest that her marriage to Gordon was primarily motivated by monetary benefits.

Robyn, on the other hand, is dealing with the consequences of her husband's confession in season 7 that he had been exchanging text messages with another woman prior to their second wedding in August 2022. (Robyn and her husband, Juan Dixon, who have two children together, got married in 2005, divorced in 2012, and then reconciled ten years later.)

"I'm becoming a damn villain," Robyn sobs, her emotions heightened after a confrontation with the other woman. "I haven't done anything to any of you!"

In the trailer, tensions escalate between the NBA star and his wife, just over a year into their second marriage.

“People always got something to say,” Juan tells Robyn at another point, slamming his hand down on the table as he proclaims, “I don’t care!”
