Meghan Markle, the 42-year-old former star of Suits, made a unexpected return to her acting career, appearing as a "slightly nerdy" team member in an ad posted on the Clevr Blends Instagram account on Tuesday, December 19th.

"You're definitely keeping us on our toes! We had to bring in some extra help," read the caption of the video, referencing Markle. "We're incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love and support this year—thank you for helping us keep the latte-loving dream alive and thriving! xo."

The ad featured CEO Hannah Mendoza giving followers a glimpse of the company's office, with Markle making appearances in the background of each clip.

Mendoza expressed gratitude for the incredible Clevr team at HQ, emphasizing their importance to the brand. He also mentioned the dedication of the fulfillment crew, who have been diligently packing lattes while listening to Britney Spears since 2019. Markle, seated beside Mendoza, sported a pair of glasses as Mendoza praised the brand's "very smart" and "only *slightly* nerdy" digital team.

"Finally, our incredible ops team, the glue that holds us all together, has been the key to making this year a huge success," Mendoza exclaimed as Markle handed her a bottle of water and tried to fist bump a colleague. She missed the bump and burst into laughter as the video ended.

Check out Clevr's upgraded functional latte drinks, all oat milk-based and enhanced with different mushrooms, probiotics, and elevated ingredients. According to Mendoza in a September 2021 interview with Forbes, the reason behind these innovations is to provide an alternative for those who struggle with the traditional effects of black coffee caffeine. Markle first became connected with Clevr when she became the brand's initial high-profile investor. In a statement to Fortune in 2020, she expressed her support for the passionate female entrepreneur behind the brand, emphasizing the importance of building a community alongside business. She also praised Hannah's dedication to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product aligned with her personal values, highlighting its holistic approach to wellness. Markle expressed her belief in Hannah and her company.

Earlier this year, Mendoza revealed that Markle's initial investment has propelled the company, founded in 2016, to significant growth.

"In February, Mendoza stated in an Instagram video, 'Three years ago, everything changed. Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, began consuming our lattes. Not only did she adore the product, but she was deeply committed to supporting female founders, our sustainable sourcing, and our food justice giveback.'"
