The Deck of Whispers, a new progression system in Season of the Witch, is introduced. As Destiny 2 players engage in various activities or receive rewards, they will occasionally come across unidentified cards. These cards can be unveiled and activated at the Lectern of Divination. Before any seasonal activity, players can draw major arcana cards from their deck, granting each member of the fireteam a unique buff corresponding to the card's abilities. If multiple members draw the same card, its strength is increased for that particular encounter.

Minor arcana cards in Destiny 2's 22nd season offer passive bonus upgrades that remain active. These cards can also provide tangible rewards such as keys, engrams, currencies, and weapons. Bungie's goal for this deckbuilding system is to allow players to customize their playstyle, fireteam, and class.

Aside from Season of the Witch, Destiny 2 fans gained insight into The Final Shape expansion, which includes new story details and The Pale Heart destination. Bungie also unveiled three new supers for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks, each with support abilities and formidable firepower. Surprisingly, Bungie shared a glimpse into Destiny 2's future beyond The Final Shape, transitioning to standalone episodes instead of the current three-month seasonal cycles.

Destiny 2 is now available PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
