Bungie has recently introduced an updated movement feature in Destiny 2's latest update. This improvement, located in the European Aerial Zone, enhances player mobility and provides additional incentives to strive for greater rewards. As part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the player experience, the developers at Bungie continuously experiment and refine Destiny 2's annual events. However, not all changes are well-received, and these are addressed and modified in subsequent patches.

One of Destiny 2's oldest annual events, previously known as Solstice of Heroes, is now called the Solstice event. This event offers players the opportunity to undertake special missions in the European Aerial Zone, where they can battle enemies and acquire unique rewards. Successful runs in the EAZ grant players powerful high-stat armors, and they can also utilize special currencies obtained from the EAZ to upgrade Solstice-exclusive ornate armors. These upgraded armors feature cosmetic glows that correspond to the player's equipped subclasses. Additionally, each year's Solstice event showcases new cosmetics for armor sets, which are highly sought-after by fashion-conscious Guardians. Furthermore, players can acquire event-exclusive bounties from Eva Levante, offering bright dust and XP gains, as is customary in Destiny 2's activities.

The Solstice has undergone significant changes since its early days, but it remains one of the prime locations for players to acquire powerful gear without venturing into Destiny 2's challenging endgame. However, in order to obtain the greatest rewards, players must defeat ten squads of enemies while navigating through intermittent waves of Taken and abiding by a time limit. This proves to be difficult due to the precarious layout of the EAZ. Many players expressed frustration with the overly complex gameplay loop during the seasonal event's initial release, leading Bungie to address this concern in patch 7.1.5.2. The latest patch reintroduces Sparrows in the EAZ, accompanied by static launch pads, with the hope of significantly increasing the success rate for teams aiming for maximum rewards.

Patch 7.1.5.2 brought numerous bug fixes to the game, including resolving a progression-blocking bug in the exclusive A Guardian in Shining Armor quest for the Solstice event. Additionally, the patch addressed the issue of certain Armor mods in Destiny 2 incorrectly providing excessive ability energy, ensuring that they now function correctly. Most notably, the patch successfully resolved the bug related to the Child of the Old Gods Void Warlock aspect.

While many players appreciate the reintroduction of Sparrows in EAZ, some members of the community have expressed disappointment over the delayed patch and view it as yet another error by Bungie in relation to Destiny 2. Nevertheless, The Solstice remains an excellent location for seasonal farming, and players are advised to make the most of it before it disappears in less than a week.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
